Cooked it to "near death"? If the infant died of injuries sustained during the process, wouldn't that be the same as if the infant died right there in the microwave?Bubbalo wrote:
Technically speaking, she might have cooked it to near death and it later died, but that doesn't really change anything................
Here's the way I look at it: We are aware of two cases in which babies have been microwaved. Perhaps if we study these cases, we can prevent it happening again. Rather than just waiting for it to happen and then using capital punishment. That way, we can save two lives, and make lots of people much, much happier.
And for those of you that joke and take this lightly... just take a moment to think about this... this is a harmless being that was killed. A life was ended in a fashion that should never have occurred. I know most of you are probably putting on a tough front to make yourselves look tough, but I hardly think making fun of a baby being killed makes you any sort of man. You really should grow up some.
But studying these cases? This is really no different than people like Susan Smith (who drowned her kids in a pond in the back seat of her car). The minor difference is the method of which they performed the task. Now, how do you decide on something like this? How do you decide your child is going to die?
I can see the point of view of many of the people on here... a lot of people are saying kill the mother, but how many times recently have we seen that it's the boyfriend that killed the child because they were incappable of knowing how to handle being a parent? But I do agree, the person who could perform such an atrocity should be punished to the maximum allowed.
