There was a case exactly like this a while ago.
The babysitter was babysitting during thanksgiving and was tripping on hallucinogens and cooked the baby, thinking she was a turkey.
The babysitter got the death sentence because while hallucinating you cannot mistake a human being with an inanimate object.

She murdered the baby and tried to play it off drugs, Which didn't work. So, a lose lose situation. Had drugs on her person and first degree murder. Premeditated and everything...

god thats like here in Canada, or gov is so fu*ked up. I mean if you murder someone over here, but ur stoned or drunk, then u can plead temporarily insane and get half a sentence or some bull like that. Truly messed up.

Certain American states pull that bullshit too. North Carolina usually is more strict about crime and punishment though. We have the death penalty, and we're not hesitant to use it for things like this....
