Ok then. From what Spark explained to me, I fundamentally understand what you created that thread for now. Given this, I will believe you, for now, that your intention was not to flamebait. I'm not sure why, I guess I just feel like it.

I just have to ask you, in a forum this size, does it really make sense to address these hypocrasies in different threads? It seems totally ineffective to me. The main reason I say this is because I for one hadn't seen or heard about the thread that yours was started in response to. I had no pretext for the point you were making, and it appeared to be a cruel, brainless attack on a very sensitive issue. Right now as I'm typing this, I'll give you more credit than that, but you must understand how hard it is to interpret a meaning that's so heavily veiled, and related to another topic that many probably haven't seen.

Had I been informed of the background of this post, I'd have initially actually called it clever and applauded the point you were trying to make (That is, if I understand it correctly now). I didn't have that information so I responded with my own point of view based on the information that I did have.

The thread was so far out of context of the point you tried to make to anyone who hadn't read the other that it just appeared to be blatantly offensive in its purpose. I concede that it was not, and I apologize for being as harsh as I was. From now on I'll try harder to look for hidden meanings in your posts before I judge them. However, I recommend that you also think more carefully about where and how you choose to make your points. You made a good one, but it was executed so poorly that most people (Myself included) missed it completely, and that's really a shame.

Finally, though I've given an apology for what I said about you, I will not apologize for my reaction initially since it was real, and the people responsible for the deaths of several close relatives (And people who support those killers) will never be anything more than animals to me.

Which is fair enough. All I'm saying is that people have to understand that there are those who (rightly or wrongly) have the same view about US soldiers (and, for the record, I am not one of them. Then again, I don't view anyone as less than human).

He has stated that his point was to show people that not only are Armed Forces thought of as great and repectful, as in the US. He was trying to say that other people have great respect for other people like those hijackers of 9/11.
