Just read an article on the BBC titled "Left-handers 'think' more quickly", I'm a righty

Being a leftie, I dont see myself as being "quicker" than anyone else in any extreme way.  There are some things that some people are better at than others.  Like it said in the article, lefties seem to be better at using both sides of their brain than righties.  Does that mean that all lefties are going to be naturally good guitar players? No, not necessarily.  I have seen quite a lot of famous guitarists using left-handed guitars, for example Paul McCartney.  But there are also plenty of amazing righ-handed guitarists out there.

There could well be other factors that come in to play when determining how well someone can use both sides of their brains.  Testing just 20 left-handed and 80 right-handed people just doesnt seem like anywhere near enough of a sample to make it a fair experiment.

I highly doubt that 20 people is considered an adequate sample size.

Personally I always joke around that lefties are a perfect example of natural selection, slowly but surely they are being bred out ;-)  (but for all I know the % lefty/righty may be shifting the other way...)

Are there any other lefties out there who get asked the question "Oh, are you left-handed?" by people when they SEE you write with your left hand...

It irritates me, the pointlessness of the question, and how alost everyone asks it lol.

You may be ambi-dextrous, or just have trained yourself to be able to write with your left hand.

Lol im far from ambidextrous.  I certainly dont see why i should have chosen to write left-handed instead of right, assuming it was even my choice in the first place.  Is there some evolutionary reason for there being less lefties than righties?  Maybe our brains are hard-wired for writint with one hand or the other... who knows.

I'm technically a lefty, though with a slight bit of practice I could be ambidextrous and probably improve my handwriting at the same time.

Anywho, I find myself quicker than many people, though I don't know if it has anything to do with how I write.

Edit: Oh, and I do different sport related activities with different hands, like I bat right-handed and can play tennis either hand. etc

I'm Ambidextrous.  Does that make me a genius?

If that's true, we may be able to think faster but it's still hell to find individual golf clubs.
