In Australia we are having an Ice Age. ICE/Meth is in epidemic proportions here. We hade the same with heroin about 5 years ago. The cops killed the heroin market so the ICE took over.
The bad thing is that ICE can be made from chemicals found already in Australia. Heroin had to be imported.

This one girl at work was a self-confessed ex-meth addict (its called P here)...so paranoid that she ended up getting fired for threatening to kill some poor lady's cat just because she didn't like the way the lady looked at her.
