I just got Armor Service Badge Silver which requires 25 global hours in armor and 15 kills in armor in a round.
Funny thing is: the timebar below that badge says 15 hours global time.
Armor Service Medal however says 26 hours.

Edit: Just noticed that the time displayed for the badge *could* be global time in tanks.
Adding that and APC and battle walker time would than be 26 hours displayed below the medal.

I got the silver with only 6 hours. I don't know how but it made me become brigadier general.

I can proove now that

- the times for the three types of armoured vehicles are counted together for the badge too.

- ATV kills don't count for the iar requirement.

Shortly after I reached 25 hrs combined time I racked up a lot of ATV kills at Berlin - no badge! Next try was on Suez Conquest with a tank and I got the silver badge. That the Walker will do it too can be seen above, but perhaps only F1 kills will count.

I have 2 days odd in walker, and 9 hours in tank, and I have my Gold. Although the badge shows only tank time, I am certain that includes Walker/APC time. I also got mega APC kills the round before getting Gold in the Walker. I can't remember whether I used seat 2 at all in the Walker that round.

Hang on, perhaps the APC would count, if all kills were in seat 1. I know that I use seat 2, if I see someone hiding, or more than one person.
