So, you think that white shit you're drinking is good for you?  You think it's going to help you have strong bones, teeth, and hair?  Gonna lose weight drinking milk?  Gonna whiten that smile?

Think AGAIN!

Hi, I'm Ironchef and I hate cow milk.  I have been off the life-long bad habit of drinking it for 2 years now.  Though I still eat cheese, yogurt, and some other dairy products, I do not and cannot drink cow milk..even organic.  I tried not too long ago and it just grossed me out.

When I drink cows milk, I'm drinking tit-rot (my word for the bacteria in the cows tit), puss, anti-biotics (used to treat tit-rot), manure (cuz the bloated, steroid laden cows udders hang in their feces all day), and then the milk itself (full of unhealthy contents that far outweigh the few good aspects of milk).  Cows sit in their concentration camp pens pretty much for their entire lives, they're given drug cocktails that make them lactate like crazy, and they're milked so frequently that their output overburdens their bodies and they die quickly, have udders sitting in their waste all day, their udders get diseased (hence the anti-biotic ointment smeared on their tits), and they just suck.

Milk, in it's "calcified" glory actually causes osteoporosis instead of the common lie of the dairy industry claiming it prevents it.  It creates saliva (but we keep giving it to babies and wonder where all the drool is from), diarrhea, unneeded animal fat and protein, causes food allergies, lots of num-num cholesterol, and a host of other problems that, again, far outweigh any benefits.  http://www.fitwise.com/Milk_Truth.asp

In short, I'd like to pose a discussion around "WHY" we keep perpetuating old habits and sustain new propaganda from the milk lobby??  They put out soooo much advertising about how milk does this or that..as if they have competition...  Oh yeah, the SOY revolution is pressuring them and putting out something sooo threatening to the dairy lobby that they have become as aggressive as the cola lobbyists.  I drink soy, almond, or rice milk (i make my own almond milk and it owns!) and since I've stopped sucking the cow tit, i've been soooo much more healthy feeling, less lethargic (no nappy time an hour after eating a bowl of cereal), my kids are much more healthy, allot less snotty, and my cholesterol is down considerably.

So what's the deal?  Why do you drink cows milk?

No you're not. Pasteurization has come a long way since the dawn of the age of milk.

The cows milk YOU drink today, has all these ills.  Pasteurization does little to remove these effects.

You conduct an experiment or show me that one has been conducted to prove that. I don't know why - if the Pasteurization truly has little effect - farmers would spend millions on the machines that perform the process. Why not just say it's pasteurized if it makes no difference?

Pasteurizing gives the milk a longer shelf life by removing some enzymes that cause it to go bad.

THe studies on milk that I've read about all talk about current milk..not some decades old practice.  Besides, milk several decades ago was much more healthy than it is now..because cows used to be free to roam, eat actual grass and unmolested feed..now they're housed in cells and pumped full of steriods, growth hormones, and they're milked so often that their udders get diseased.  Pasteurization does nothing to help that.

I grew up skimming the cream off of raw milk. We pasturized it ourselves.
I like milk, especially with Herseys chocolate suryp.

Well I'm not a farmer so I don't know the true story.

Regardless, telling the public to not drink milk is like telling them not to watch sports, or eat. (especially eat, heavens are we obese in the USA)

I hate cow's milk.  Only drink it with chocolate syrup in it.  I love cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc  I take vitamins for what my diet does not give me.

Uh.. huh. Well I can tell you that my region is very non-organic. And the only thing that goes inside a cow 'round here is a bull

Read some of the studies and findings in the links I've given and judge for yourself.  It's not new information and it's not like i just made it up.  And yes, it's hard to ween humans from the cow tit...it's all we know.  But then, wasn't cigarette smoking considered healthy at one time?  We're the only species that drinks milk from another species!  Doesn't that seem strange?  It's calcium is about 50% soluable so a cup of brocoli has about the same soluable calcium in it that a cup of milk has.

If you knew that cow milk contributed to your food alergies, or your asthma, would just keep drinking it because everyone does?

You'd be surprised, but it's actually old news to lactation nurses and the pediatrics that cows milk is for cows and does NOTHING good for babies..it's actually bad for them and probably why we're all fat, salivating, lactose-intolerant, sleepy bums with weak bones.

But you mention organic milk also...they dont got anything like that in them...not in the DK that is....One of my professors is an expert in proteins in milk...I can hook you up with his email or a link to his site (if he still got one) Just let me know...he can teach you a thing or two about milk.

Cheers

Organic milk, if it truly follows organic farming principles, removes hormones and some of the puss and bacteria.  It still leaves you with MILK...which has little to be desirable in it.  Put it this way, if you have a decent diet, you can do quite well abandoning milk 100% of the time.  Ever wonder why vegans are so healthy?

A cup of my almond milk is almonds and purified water.  It actually tears away at the cholesterol in my arteries that is there from years of cow milk usage.  It doesn't have ANY of the side effects or shit in it that milk has.

Soy milk producers, like Silk, use carageenan in their milk as an emulsifier (to make it thick and creamy looking)..this stuff is bad.  But still, the difference in drinking a cup of silk and a cup of cow milk is the difference between drinking medicine vs. beer in terms of health productivity.

Lactose intolerance is caused by a lack of a digestive enzyme in your body called lactase. If you don't have lactase you can't break down lactose, and you get sick from it. If you have lactase in you, then unless you drink radioactive waste every day chances are you won't suddenly lose your lactase from drinking too much milk.

If milk really was this bad, don't you think the FDA, or the public, would've done something by now? I think your tinfoil hat is on too tight.

edit: Adult humans tend to develop some lactose intolerance as they age, but for the most part unless you're born without/sufficient lactase, you'll be fine.

HAHA I just finished a glass of milk too! Yeah I have read up on all this jargon, It doesn't  bother me really. People eat fast food all the time, and that's FAR worse. I won't go near that crap.
