Hello I just Re-installed my BF2 and SF CD"s and also that stupid new patch thats causing a lot of problems for me.  The first issue I got was an issue with the shaders.

That problem was fixed.

But now I have this new problem.  When I join a server...everything loads fine but when I press the JOIN button on that server or ANY server it gives me this error:

"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join.  Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current official version to join"

I get this error in EVERY server.

I have un-installed and installed the game 4 times already.  I have not put any hacks or modified anything in the game.

I do the install's in this sequence:

1- Install BF2
2-Install SF
3-Install Stupid new patch 1.41
4-Then Euro Force
5-Then Armored Fury

I have tried logging onto multi-player after just BF2 and then SF without that stupid patch and I still get this error.  HELP!

I also tried installing the older 1.4 and not the new one and I still got the same ERROR. 


Anyways,......I have no idea what to do next.......please help........

This is so frustrating,  I have never had any problems with ANY other game like this one.  I have had a million and one problems with BF2 and patches.  EA really needs to get their Sh^&$%^#! togothere.

I moved this to Battlefield 2 - Help (you had it at BF2s help).

As for the download 2142 message, I have that too... but my BF is working properly.

Damn EA!!!  I am still getting the same Darn error when joining any server!   Its all because of these stupid patches!!!  DAMN YOU EA!!!!

try this:

Install BF2
Run Patch
Install SF
Re-run Patch
Install EF
Install AF
re-re-run patch.

Try updating your punkbuster manually.  You can get the app to do it from the punkbuster webpage.  I had the same problem and that helped me.

You installed in the wrong order.  You should install it:

1. BF2
2. SF
3. EF
4. AF
5. Patch 1.41

You maybe able to reinstall patch 1.41 to fix the issue.

It doesn't let me install any of the add ons like Euro-Force Or armored Fury with out some sort of patch thats why I installed in that way.  This happens every single time I install that Dumb new patch 1.41.

Still getting that same stupid error.  I have also re-installed the patch 3 times already and have also re-installed BF2 and 3 times also this is so FRUSTRATING !!!

SAME STUPID ERROR:

I HAVEN"T MODIFIED SH!T EA!!!!!!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US!!!!!!

I'm thinking of just dropping EA as company all togothere.....its unbelievable how many problems this game gives me.  Never have I had even one problem with any OTHER game.

I found the problem!!!!!!  It seems that the STUPID EA LINK was not installing everything in its entirety.  I would press the Install button for patch 1.41 and I even tried patch 1.4 and the stupid EA LINK wouldn't install the WHOLE patch.  It would only install part of it causing the problems I had.  I erased that stupid EA LINK crap and downloaded the patch from else where and this my friends fixed my problem.

I can even start talking about how much EA is messing things up for us.  Every patch = worse and buggier game play and new things like this stupid EA LINK just causes even more problems!

Get your SH!!!t togothere EA!!
