i have recently installed the 1.4 patch and then installed a no cd crack for my game so i can play it without the cd (obviously) and when i try to start a game it always says ''CD key is invalid'' and i already know about the supposed CD key changer located in the ''Support'' folder of the BF2 program files section, i entered my cd key into that right off of whats in the manual and when i start a game the same error still comes up.

i installed the no cd crack because i am at a different location and didnt have the CD with me

plz help

You should have an iso file, and mount it with Daemon Tools, the crack is probally blocked by PunkBuster, that is why you are getting the invaild CD key message.

I'm using a no-cd crack for BF2 and it's working just fine with me. I'm using deamon tools for it, hasn't let me down yet. There are EXE's out there that act as a crack and let the system think it has the CD. But easiest and savest way is to go to: www.gamecopyworld.com and look for the BF2 image (no full CD images so nothing illegal about this site).

check to see if the key is correct in your registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE<SOFTWARE<ELECTRONIC ARTS<EA GAMES<BATTLEFIELD 2<ERGC

enter the correct key there as the value for 'default'
