This is not 100%, but has helped a good number of people.

Please delete your cache in the My Documents\Battlefield 2142\mods folder and the file icontent.cache. This may help some and NVIDIA driver version 91.31 is confirmed to run with out crashing after clearing your cache. Please roll back to version 91.31. You can download this driver here: http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/91.3 … h_whql.exe

It's fucked up that MyIS has to provide support instead of EA. But even worse is, in order to fix the 1.05 CTDs, we have to clear our caches and roll back drivers. I don't know about you, but I just got my vid card working again with the new 93.71 drivers. There is no way I am rolling back. EA better fucking release a hotfix either tomorrow or on Thanksgiving Day, or else we're telling the rest of the sensible world not to buy 2142 as a gift for kiddies everywhere.

you people thought they would release a patch to fuck BF2 so you'd have to play 2142. instead they released one to fuck 2142 so you have to play BF2.

EA/DIcE coders suck. get the PoE and Forgotten Hope 2 guys to make these games and this wont happen...

Or better yet lets have you make the patches from now on since you seem to think EA's doing such a bad job.

You seem to think it's easy to code for something that has millions of different configurations. specs, and not to mention the other programs people may have installed that could cause literally an unlimited number of possible conflicts.

It's also not humanly possible to have something with 0 flaws. Humans are imperfect. Imperfection cannot create perfection.

Even the POE or FH2 guys didn't get it right on the first try. Even they have their issues.
