I agree with the economic slavery issue (in terms of people buried in debt), but I don't think that every white person on Earth is the equivalent of a plantation owner.

Haha, sort of. I'm just saying that people perceive veganism as a statement or as something to fight for...when sometimes it's not even that. I work with a girl who is a vegetarian...and I asked her why she was and she just said it's because she doesn't like meat. She stopped eating it for a while and now when she does, it makes her feel sick. It's not that she's some crazy, animal-loving, hippie freak...

The bit I love about it that slavery issue is, he doesn't seem to even be aware the there (and still are) people of all ethnic backgrounds traded as slaves, and there were also black people who profited from the slave trade. Slavery is not a racial predicament, it's an economic and social one.

...because blacks and asians find themselves in the social and economic predicament of slavery more often (these days) than whites.
