I understand the mods' motivation for that, but still... isn't it sad that a word still holds that kind of power over our society? Isn't it sad when a racist says that word that we can't even acknowledge or discuss its implications? We've become such a legalistic and politically correct society that we have to pretend that the word only exists in rap songs and is only acceptable for a black person to say.
Imagine how silly it would be if "cracker" gained this status in our society.
What do you guys think about all this?
I see nobody wants to go near my post with a ten foot pole. My point exactly.
Malloy must go
Because all white people are from the USA and hence were involved with the slave trade, right? Newsflash fucko, my country wasn't built on slavery. No, it was built on hard work and despite that, its 7/10 white. Take your racism somewhere else.acidkiller187 wrote:

I get you are point but you are saying like racism ended like 100 more years ago and you are surprised people are still saying that look at the 1960's, not too far off, there are still people alive from that era who have kids and teach their kids the same principals they use to believe in.
@acid My Scottish/Irish immigrant ancestors weren't exactly rich plantation owners, so sorry 'Mr. I'm Black & Picked On.' Take your racism somewhere else.Pubic wrote:

Beaner, Negro and N*r are the three foulest words in the English language, according to the Politically-Correct Nazis of America.Bubbalo wrote:

What was that third one? Was it nigger?
On a serious note, what's a beaner?

Ah, right.
Bet you don't know who'd be offended by the word boong (two O's, right?). Guess .

steamed buns is one i couldn't figure out
It's what northern Chinese call southern Chinese (or vice versa?). I learnt it when we were studying the Chinese Revolution. I also learnt how to say it in Chinese, but have since forgotten.
I believe it is all wrong. I laugh at this stuff, but I'm not actively promoting it. Anything that segregates society detracts from the benefits that each ethnic group brings to the table. So affirmative action, NAACP, the KKK, and the argument "why don't we have a white history month" all just contribute to this issue.deeznutz1245 wrote:
Fuck people. All of em because they are stupid. A white person makes a racial joke and that white person is in the wrong. A black person makes a racial joke and they find two more black people to make racial jokes with him then we have the kings of comedy. I say what is on my mind and that should be considered free speach but the same people who have rallies for equality and free speach tell me what is politically correct to say. I think I feel "disenfranchised"
In my opinion it's not an argument for free speech & equality and the corresponding "who's right/who's wrong". Nor is it the politically correct police influencing your thoughts...
It whether you believe that there is something to be gained for a society by promoting segregation or discrimination in any way, shape or form. I do not.
I also believe that we are getting more tolerant with every generation. In terms of racial tolerance...Compare yourself to your parents. Compare yourself to your grandparents.
So hopefully we won't have to see ethnic segregation anywhere but a comedy act.
THIS and the OP are right on the money. I think the problem is not because slavery and unequality were just around the corner (70's and earlier for most states). I think the problem is because there's a level of pride and a chip on the shoulders of the "offendees" that is totally unnecessary.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Which are not offenses equal, in my eyes to use of the 'n' word. Hell, I can say shit, fuck, damn, slam religion, slam non-religion, ridicule nationality and be sarcastic beyond all restraint...but god forbid that I or anyone else use the word restricted for internal black culture-use only. It is, in my mind, one of the heights of hypocrisy in the world, but not a matter to get too pissed off about.
Some fool in this thread talked about slave trading whites and how they're lazy and whites can kiss his african ass. I'd just like to know if he's from africa. Because it seems that african's don't talk like that or have that level of racist pride as american blacks do. I lived in brazil and guess what, the blacks there suffered much worse in terms of slavery and inequality, but they also don't take offense to racial language. If there's a fat little black girl selling ice cream, you describe her as "..aquele pretinha gordinha q ta vendendo sorvete.." and nobody takes offense because you called her that. The blacks in brazil don't constantly label people by color or pull the race card out of their asses every 5 minutes when they don't like what's going on. America...is full of racists. I think referring to people by color is what permeates it and i don't think it's acceptable for blacks to think they are the only ones able to say nigger.
Watching Sinbad last night being questioned about Kramer's tirade made me sick. But at least he admitted that he was a little racist (suggesting also that everyone's a little racist). He then said som BS that there's a friendly version (nigga) used in rap, but only blacks can say it. He said if a white person/rapper said that to him, he'd take issue. Same for when he hears nigger. Sad stuff. I think those who dwell on it and are always looking for it, find it..and never pull their lives out of it. My sister is always talking protectively of racial sensitivities on behalf of blacks and it pisses me off because she's actively being "over-aware" and ready to beat down on someone making the mistaken conversation or reference.

It's just not a good topic on an "all ages" forum. We also probably shouldn't talk about child porn, beastiality, rape, and/or conspiring to commit murder.
Why go there? I think everyone already agrees that these topics are best left for other websites, not this one.

The political correctness is way out of hand in our country. I think there must be a new amendment to it that protects everyone from getting offended or their frickin' feelings hurt.
Alright. Do we owe anything to the Irish or Chinese immigrants?King_County_Downy wrote:
I agree that it's hypocrisy in America (and probably elsewhere but I can't speak for other countries).
Perfect example: My best friend is half white, half black. I can barely get away with singing lyrics to rap songs that use the "N" word. It's not like he's gonna beat me up over it, it just kinda pisses him off. The difference here in topics that I listed above is that a) Slavery is not that old, and b) Slavery was fucked up and in some ways, I think we do owe it to black people to back off the racist shit for a while. I'm sure some day it will dwindle but a lot of people who are still alive today, remember what it was like when racism wasn't just a joke.
Good point... I think the people that have the most reason to bitch are the Native Americans, not black people.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
