Ok boffins, i`ve downloaded 1.41 twice now from different sources, done the install about 6 times now, it tells me it has been installed but all my servers in the fav menu are still red !! What`s going on?? If i go to join it tells me i have an older version than the server. Please help...

I had exact same problem, fixed it today:
Uninstall BF2, BF2:SF, then re-install both and then install full 1.41
Fixed!

Ah man i thought you might say that. Never attempted a re install before being a dumbass with computers, shall i try the way described in the "sticky" ?
yea thats what i dide ^^^^. they stickied that for a reason lol. they may no what there doing
