thats some hot work thier man would love to see your website when its up
If you just finished it... why are the pics from 2005?
well, in digital cameras when you replace the batteries the date and time format resets itself.......since im not really concerned with that, i never set it again.-=]NS[=-Eagle wrote:

and those pics are from before my wife got her new camera.....i was using this nasty little 2.5 MP kodak
The blade, its so sharp that it cuts light and looks blue!!!
i wish man, but thanks.
all my knives leave with a 30 degree edge that shaves....unless someone specifies the need for a 19 degree edge....which is what scapals have.

I don't like the pearl handle but the s on the spine is awesome
it is very nice, but unfortunatly i wonder what it will be used for, i mean your hardly going to peel potatos with it are you
a display piece i could live with but the other alternative uses of it arn't favourable

You....made that? NICE! you must be really good with your hands.
I was gonna ask if that's pearl but I guess soScardaddy wrote:

So you made a knife with a pearl handle for a dude? But.....it's pearl. I mean Ivory is acceptable (think Patton's pistol handle) but pearl is, well.....gayish, isn't it?
Top notch job though, i sure as hell couldn't do that shit.
ok ill give you this since you live in england, but you need to open your mind.sfarrar33 wrote:

the knives i make are tools, you can do MANY things with them. i carry a knife with me everyday, everywhere i go. its a fixed blade about two inch blade length with a really nasty curve to it, like a bearclaw. it sits on my left hip, opposite side of my 1911 kimber custom carry II. i have never had to pull it to defend myself, but i have used it in multiple ways to cut rope, open boxes and many other everyday tasks.
with that being said, i have multiple knives in iraq and afghanistan right now being used for god knows what. alot of my customers are active military or law enforcement....one of my knives that i sold to an EMS guy was used to cut the seatbelt off of a victom of a car accident.
i realize that all you see right now in england is negative bullshit regarding knives, but please keep an open mind when regarding other countries...we dont get drunk in pubs and stab people here, we have guns for that
ah, i dont really care for the pearl....and that is actually a simulated pearl in an acrylic material. but i dont argue with customers. lol, if someone came and said they wanted the PINK mother of pearl i would do it, no questions asked.MagikTrik wrote:

hey thanks man. ill be posting some pics pretty soon of a knife im making and donating to the clan im in.
i went to a hammer in this weekend, and got a really cool picture that i thought i would share with all of you.
a hammer-in is when a group of people get together (in this case a few close friends) bring metal, make a big ass fire and forge a bunch of knives. im the one on the left with the tongs and pliers lol, my buddy is the one that likes to drink and play with red hot metal.....

made this folder for a guy that traded me a keg so i could make a new forge.
AUS-8 stainless steel
frame lock
matte finish
filework
black ash burl for handles
pretty good deal for a keg.
we started working on the forge today, ill post some pics of that when i get them uploaded, im making a "Forge out of a Keg" tutorial for a knife forum i am a member of.

So how's the knife coming along?
the second one needs more color, I dunno, it just looks like a 70's film of knives...
If that's what the customer wanted then you did an awesome job.Parker wrote:

... Which leads me to my question..
How would I go about getting a custom with the same style push button, mechanism, but a bit sharper lines (tantoier) in the blade -damascus of course ? I'd like an an Ebony handle with gunmetal brushed guard/matching nickel pins? And most important, It would have to work reliably and hold a nice edge.. Yea... And for kicks, could you etch my Family Crest on the blade? Iit ain't that complicated a design. That shit would rock!...
Nah, but seriously -can you do that for me? An how much? PM with quote if you prefer.
-Thanks
*edit.. Holy Shit, I'm glad you are ok. Be careful and get better.

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
im pissed about that knife and may not even try to do it anymore.Havok wrote:

i sent it to a buddy to get some machine work done cause i dont have a good mill yet....anyway, the heat from the machine work warped it, and when i tried to straighten it, it snapped.
anyway, i might try one again, but as it stands now im about three months backed up with knives i have yet to make.
Brinson, watch for a PM in the next day or two. i have to check some prices and ill let you know.
VEry nice knifes, im making knifes myself but not as professional as you. Mines are often in horn and somekind of wood with a normal blade. It is a fun hobbie
i have successfully made my own handle material today, for those that care.
its made out of denim......and some other stuff i cant say
hopefully i will be able to make a sheath out of it.....that is my goal at least.
pics coming soon........later.

damn, you have nice work. Ever make anything bigger than a knife?
i have some plans drawn out for a pipe tomahawk, and sometime in the near future im going to try a war hammer.
it will take quite some time for me to be able to make swords though.
ill post some pics of the tomahawk when i finish.
