Thanks, I've been reading BF2S since Chuy built the damned thing, but mostly just the Tech forum. I've been playing BF2 since release on demo.

I'm just a tech junkie and I like to see what other people have to say, and the exact numbers from other rigs.
Never posted here before, didn't feel the need, however this cat Riddick, he's flaming someone with a superior system, and that urked me.

I'm still interested in the performance of the new 8800 GTX. I'm a fan of DOOM, so I'd like to see how it stands up to 2560x1600 on ultra high with 4xAA.
Every enthusiast who can afford one (or two) is going to buy an 8800, but what about the hype of the new R600 series? Think my 620 Watt Corsair PSU will be able to run either of these new powerhouses?

Interesting. The whole reason I signed up to this board is because of that score. Every time I see it, I get this jittery, tingly feeling like I cannot wait until I've got one myself. My rig with my BFG 7800GTX has an 06 score of 3104 (stock values, card overclocked) and that's with only ONE GPU. I'm modest in my answer. My e-penis is the size of the sniper's melon I pop at 200 meters with my single-shot M16, with 1600x1200 and 4x AA, playing never less than 50FPS, usually around 70. Anyone who has a big e-penis can easily be spotted on the battlefield (how ironic) either sniping from a no-cover situation, or walking around the maps with no common sense and no direction.
Now there's this whole ordeal about two 7800 GTX GPUs being faster than that of the new 8800GTX.
My single 7800 GTX runs around 9800 3DMarks in 05... I'm sorry to hear that two would only run 12,263.
The pair of 7800 GTX GPUs are not as fast as a pair of 7900 GTX GPUs.
I rely on website benchmarks to tell the rest of the tale:

Which does not explain how KMarion held a 10k 3DMark06 score until you
ORB it at Futuremark's Website
and see the 23365 3DMark06 score by SLI 8800 GTX GPUs... Who's up for a second 8800 GTX now?
I can only imagine, thus far, the pure pixel power of two 8800 GTX cards.
