BETA 0.9 RELEASE!
The CLAN MOD has, after a few closed beta releases, reached its first open release! Many thanks to all clans that participated in the closed betas and I hope you all enjoy this release and that you leave as much feedback as possible!
In this first release, the Squad leader beacon is included, something that we're unsure about whether it should be kept in future releases or not - please give us your opinion on this. When you place a beacon, bear in mind that the enemy can see it on the HUD. Also, there's a bug in BF2142 which removes the possibility to spawn on the Squad leader once the beacon is destroyed - you'll have to create a new squad.
Each kit has one or a few unlocks and all kits have the Frag grenade. All players have also been given improved sprint ability, the heavy body armor now has the sprint ability of the light body armor and the light body armor has been given slightly better sprint ability as well.
ABOUT THE CLAN MOD
The clan mod is a modification of Battlefield 2142. When you play the mod, you won't have any of your unlocked assets, but rather a selected range of unlocks which should fit clan wars perfectly.
INSTALLATION
After downloading the Clan mod, an automatic installer will launch. It will create a desktop shortcut and even ask you for launching the mod directly. The mod will not affect your original BF2142 game in any way - you click the desktop shortcut for BF2142 when you want to start the original game and play ranked and you click the desktop shortcut for the Clan mod when you want to play the mod.
