i knew what he was getting at, but he /fails at imagery. he was also supposed to "ignite the skies" with his answer to the west's call for nuke regs on august 22 (or was it the 24th?), i dunno 'bout where you live, but it still gets dark pretty early here.lettuce wrote:

Careful CP, you're inviting the trigger-happy tribe explaining how superior the US army is to anyone else's and how they can beat any number of opponents simultaneously blah blah blah.CameronPoe wrote:
I guess you didn't major in history. Saddam invaded the Shatt Al-Arab waterway belonging to Iran, which triggered the Iran-Iraq war. That's what people would generally describe as an undisputed historical fact.Parker wrote:
real threat? lol they had a decade long war with a country we took in 5 days. and even if they did not take part in the 6 days war the arab world still got their asses handed to them.....im sorry but the arab world includes iran, if you dont agree fine. and what since they werent in the 6 day war they are a threat? iran/iraq fiasco....lol. are you not familiar with the power theory in the middle east??? do you know what a power vaccum is? do you know that if iran took iraq there would not be anyone to stop them from taking the rest of the middle east? do you understand that is why they went to war for a decade? but hey since their persians and DIDNT take part in the 67 war they ARE a threat.........
Your assertion that non-arab speaking non-arabs are in fact arabs is odd to say the least.
The fiasco I speak of was not the Iran/Iraq war but the glaringly inept US performance in Iraq: you've failed there and in Vietnam, why would you believe you can do better anywhere else? War doesn't take place between armies anymore. It takes place between an army and a cunning insurgency. If you want another world of shit on your plate just like Iraq well then go right ahead. Militarily you don't have the numbers to go for it anyway, you've spread yourself too thin. Instead of being concentrated in Afghanistan where the problem was/is, you thought 'lets send 6 times the amount of troops to Iraq'. Nice.

actually we funded and armed both sides....CameronPoe wrote:
Newsflash: Iran is populated with Persians, not Arabs, and did not take part in the 6 days war. They did in fact arm and fund the recent Hezbollah attack on Israel, which could not be effectively repelled by Israel and led to the resignation of some their army's top brass. They also held their own for 10 years against the US armed and funded Saddam regime of Iraq. As such they represent a real threat but one which I reckon is being totally overplayed. Certainly with respect to an attack on the US. Them attacking the US meaningfully is fantasyland stuff. Remember the Iraq fiasco? Let Israel and Iran duke it out.Parker wrote:
anyone recall the 67 war???? anyone remember what happened???
lol im not worried, these people are fucking useless. what, are they gonna shoot use with aging weapons from a forgotten era. does iran even have a modern air force? almost the entire arab world ganged up on isreal and got their asses handed to them. the isralies, since their existence have been surrounded by enemies. thats why its so hard for people to understand why they go on the offense so quickly. we have nothing to worry about.......

UK would be included in Europe. I don't need you to explain. It would just add to the anti-US bs that's pretty thick in here already from across the ocean. Zzzzzz.mafia996630 wrote:

personally i dont really care what everyone in europe thinks. i made no personal attacks in my posts, but if you think i did then thats your opinion. now im not going to get on a rant about how the us is the shit in the military department, but i will say this; for all the europeans that like to run their mouths about america, if it wasnt for us you would talking your shit in german.....remember? and if i do my numbers right that little reich we rescued your sorry asses from would have lasted about another ooohhhhhh 940 years......your welcome.
side note.......i just got back from picking up a check at my shooting range and struck up a conversation with a gentleman that is getting ready for his deployment in iraq. as we were talking i noticed the wedding ring on his finger and got to thinking about my family and how grateful i am that someone will go and do these things, not out of personal gain but to help his country....anyway, i suppose i was struck with a bit of the christmas spirit a bit early and decided to give him one of my knives. i had one of the guys open the case, and i gave it to him and said thank you for your sacrifice and i hope this wil help you in iraq or wherever you might go.....and then he god blessed me and said thank you....but the point is after reading all this crap that all these people post on here about bashing the US, its military, its foreign/domestic policy and anything else they can think up, its nice to help the effort of letting our military know that they are supported.........
If you don't care what other people think then you do not debate, in other words feel free to leave this section.Parker wrote:

If in the above posts all you see is "europeans" bashing "america", then I can safely say you did not take the time to read them.Parker wrote:

Well if we fought a war as a frigging war and not a PC Castrated simulation or war game, then Yeah, we would have a better track record. If they would enact laws prohibiting our own representatives from badmouthing the leadership and the country and the military during a war where our own people are getting killed(Because of having to fight it in a bipartisan way) Then Yeah, we could have won this Fiasco awhile ago.CameronPoe wrote:
