this thread sucks... no matter where you suggest the book be placed in the rating the thread creator (Knightnifer) will place it wherever he feels fit.. now obviously everyone thinks their suggested book is the best so why not just put up books ppl suggest in a large list... instead of in your own personal whacky rating system? i vote close it but im just a spitefull person
Thanks for your opinion. But i put most books in 4star - Or as they rate them.

Neil Gaiman: American Gods1, Stardust2, Anansi Boys3, Neverwhere4. All good books, hes a clever writer. Attention to detail/story as well as random humor.
1: When Immigrants come to America they bring thier gods with them, but not as ideas, the entities come too. They then have to battle the new American gods of money and the internet.
2: Stardust is a fantasy style story.
3: Anansi Boys is the story of Anansi, the Spider Trickster god's offspring. Very well written, very entertaining.
4: There is a secret world underneath London that only its inhabitants know about. They can interact with normal people, but are easily forgotten. Full of interesting characters.
Bernard Cornwell: Anything in his Sharpe series5, or Winter King/Enemy of God/Excalibur6
5: Sharpe is a soldier fighting for England, he starts out enlisted, rises through the ranks and has a ton of cool battles. Plus, he has a rifle. set in the 1800s.
6: This is a 3 part King Arthur story, again, lots of interesting battles and character interaction.
Both authors are whatever the max amount of stars is.

Robert Cowley - What if? and More What If? These are counterfactual essays written by leading historians and military authors. Very interesting.

i once read a really good book, "the illusionist" but I've forgot who wrote it.
from what i can recall, it's about a guy from england that travels to an island just off Greece as a teacher or something but as he gets there he meets this weird old fart and two chicks (sisters or something).
sketchy, i know but that's what i can remember and describe without spoiling it, i think anyone that read it would know which one i was talking about though...
