Maybe it was a really bad fart that someone released on the sub.  A stinky Chinese food fart might be cause for surfacing and ventilating...

Bad move. You're supposed to take the blame, saying that "No honey, your farts smell like roses."
My household doesn't roll like that.  We tend to push each other into the path of oncoming trains and call it love.

I can't complain though. She plays video games, bought herself a gaming CPU, loves Family Guy, puts up with my shit, and still brings me lunch to work.

"You know, there's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on you."

KJ
That is her way of covering up the cheating.  It is probably the guy in the mail room at your office.

They could of let them surface...the chinese aren't stupid enough to send one sub into the middle of a CSG...

I was talking to my friend who's in the military who serves on the USS Harry S. Truman. Apparently, the battle group saw the chinese sub in the area a few times and couldn't decide if it was stalking the fleet or not (and is still being debated). The thing that lead them to suspect it was stalking them was that the sub didn't establish comms with the carrier battle group. So, all of the sudden the sub just surfaces next to the battle group and sits there. My friend told me the battle group was freaking out and launching planes, and were literally seconds away from blowing it out of the water...and if they had, we would've never heard about it. The only reason they didn't destroy it was because it just sat there. It wasn't making any hostile moves...it just made more of a "hey, kick my ass move".

I know this thread is kind of dead, but I just thought this was pretty interesting.

Recently a Chinese sub surfaced withing range of a U.S. aircraft carrier this week.  What message is China trying to send the United States?

The carrier ordered legit (not onboard) takeout, and the sub was the first craft chain to respond.
