Im upgrading and wondering if this is a good choice and if it is compatible becuause i read in some review that it wasnt. There is no reason that it shouldnt be so can anyone give me an opinion?

Mobo upgrade ASUS P5B-E
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6813131070

RAM  OCZ 2x 1GB DDR2 800 (PC6400)   http://shop3.outpost.com/product/488480 … IN_RSLT_PG

DDR2 has been supported by Intel much longer than AMD did with their AM2 processors.

On Topic: yes, it would be fine.

At the bottom of the specs on newegg it says:

I look at the reviews on that board and found this and many many others that said things like this

Unless your CPU has a FSB of 1066, it cant run 800 DDR2. If your FSB is 800mhz, then u can only run 667 or below. that is to say u can oc your cpu to a 1066 FSB, then your 800 DDR2 will work at the actual speed rather then not getting the top performance.
does anyone know if this is true for just this board or for all mobos with 800FSB?
