For an IO karkand map i would go for:

Squadleader: Support
Member 1: Medic
Member 2: Medic
Member 3: Sniper
Member 4: Assult
Member 5: optional,depends on the sit

if we are going for the main base of the other team a spec ops is nice to make rubble of those assets,but if we are just caping glags and defending chocke points i would go for a second support

On a vehichle map like Dalian Plant i would go for:

I was the leader of a great 6/6 squad on Karkand just there now. Albeit, we lost the round (MECs put up a good fight) - but we were really on the ball!

Who has six-man squads? Six people doing the same thing is a waste.

I just came off a round on Iron Gator (basically IO); had 2 medics with AK47s and me with the phat-o-matic (aka PKM). We owned.

for air: sniper(m95) and medic(heal) or engineer(repair helicopter when landing)
for infantry only: pkm(mg36 or rpk74) ammo and ammo, spam nades and nades and good for all range especially spawn camp or long range, g36e, l85(ak101 or ak47 if avaible), m95(one shot and let the squad finish the rest) and squad leader stealth,mg36(M249 or type95) spawn rape shit out everything and plus nades), special op or asault(you know easy easy noobtube or c4 camp whore, or just some g3 action, plus assault is the one of best for frontal combat)
armor: two engineer with pump if avaible, two anti-tank with dao12 or p90, one support with pkm, one medic for heal and revive
transport or blackhawk pre1.2: 1 medic driver for heal,2 engineer,2 special op(c4 rape) or anti tank at transport, suport with ammo,

The best squad is any squad that communicates, doesn't matter what configuration.... but if you want my personal opinion of the best squad set up.

Inf only
1. Squad leader: Support,  sit back and use that weapon to support your squad mates while they attack.
2. Medic
3. Medic.
4. Engineer, especially if American, a good shotgunner can make or break an attack when it gets close enough that nades are being tossed.
5. Sniper, preferably sits back with squad leader and works with Squad leader to pick people off.
6. Assault or spec ops, which ever suits the situation better.

Vehicles, but an inf only squad
1. Squad leader, Support, sits back and takes pot shots.
2. Medic.
3. Anti-tank
4. Anti-tank
5. Engineer those mines come in handy sometimes, no need for C4 with mines, and no need to worry about detonating.
6. Assault with F2000, blind that damn tank and let the engineer and anti-tankers take it down.

Squad in vehicles.
1. Squad leader, Engineer, preferably in APC.
2. Engineer preferably in a tank or another APC.
3. Anti-tank
