BF2 Jets...What a rush.

After buying BF2 yesterday, I sniped for most of the day, but this morning hopped into a jet, and wow what a rush. After playing 1942 for over 1000 hours and barely tugging along in the planes, BF2 jets are quite a rush. Especially flying at low levels in and out of tree's, dive bombing, its all amazing. I managed to get the MEC bomber on Oman and was dropping those 5 bombs like mad, I remember taking out like 3 tanks and an APC just with 5 bombs, pretty crazy. Dive bombing is a 100% guarenteed kill, as long as the targets idle and not moving around.

F35B is pretty sweet, vertical take offs are pretty cool. MIG-29 handles pretty well, but its not as easy to bomb with as the F35B is, its HUD is a bit confusing.

BF2 dog fights in BF2 are so much easier than 1942's were. I for some odd reason felt like I was cheating by useing the AA missles in the jet. ( Must be 1942 wearing on me ). So I used the MG alot of the time, or use MG to get half there health down, then use 1 AA missle.

I like the f35b but it attracts missiles like crazy if you think its good try a f18 and never ever step into a j-10.

You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.

The f18 sucks balls for bombing. It's not impossible, but it's still hard as fuck with the bombs that split off to the sides. The f35 will always be my favorite jet though. Who cares if it can't dodge missiles, I can get away from a j10 in an instant. And no, not by doing a split S or some bs maneuver. Get creative with the maneuvers already!!! I see 9 / 10 pubbers doing the split S thats mentioned in both dogfighter guides on this website. It's a pointless maneuver.

yeah, I'm already rewriting my guide, the one currently stickied is horribily outdated and lacking in a lot of areas..

anyway, Marine, it's a real shame you didn't buy BF2 earlier, because flying was a lot more fun back then.

Yep 1.03 was cool the blackhawks wernt nerfed. With f18 just dive bomb and let the bombs go earlier with 2 bombs as the bombs tilt inwards as they are not realsed from the middle and its not hard to avade j-10s

No matter what jet i have a good chance at beating you s3nf not like the old v yng when u went 0-3 on me i will have my revenge if my isp fixes.

Just bought the game yesterday, had to deal with 1942 because my system wasn't near good enough to run BF2. I sniped and flew alot in 1942, so I know how basic BF works. Flying in BF2 isnt terribly different than 1942, except missles and triple the speed.

And I played Dragon Valley just now and took down the j10 everytime, MG's > missles. I didnt lock on, just follwed him till i lined up on him...2 sec of MG fire and hes down...he was cursing at me and stuff...quick lil buggers those j10s are. I couldnt keep up with him doing an actual dog fight, had to use f12 view alot. He kept saying use missles like a man lol...funny he kept switching teams just to get the j10.

Server was SoF DV 24/7

I have over 1000 hours in 1942.

This isnt a 2nd account. The only time I have played BF2 before yesterday was the demo, and the demo barely ran at 20FPS for me, so I had to stick with 1942.

How you meant to do the split s without smashing into the floor whats the recommended altitude. Wow your jet stats are amazing I'm such a noob with 2.4 ratio. Gaah I swear theres no reg on my F35 mgs followed a J-10 shooting him up the ass for ages he didnt die .
