Sry just thought that would be the stock answer.

Perhaps its judged on how many point you get i the week. Or something like that. Like in BF2 where the person with the highest points gathered in the week got the special rank.

No each award is worth 500 or 1000 even 2000 points and it does cound as a global score. I have 5500 points in game but with award I have 12000

Career points ... that list shows global points ... ur rank is based on career points.

global points (kills+team+commander) + award bonuses = Career points

Bad naming since global sound omniscient.

it's either EA or DICE cause i remember a guy, in bf2, played like 3 min and he was a 2nd lt (this was before those 5 star gen stuff) and he was like, yea i can manipulate stuff muahahahaaa

While the specific requirements for the top 3 ranks have not been set out anywhere, the basis was always supposed to be taking people from the highest available points-driven rank (ie, 1-star or rank 40 in game).

Same as with BF2 - each month 30 promotions of 3 star generals to 4 star generals, based on best performing 3 stars.
