my friend, going to parties where the music is on an aux cable in the first place is a tragedyPocshy2.0 wrote:

Someone actually put this on at a party I stopped by last night. Giving the aux cord to the wrong guy is a fucking tragedy.
That's fair enough. I was only there for about 45min because it really wasn't my crowd. I left around 2am and the remnants were getting pretty haggard by that point.uziq wrote:

I tend to find that any party where the music comes from an iPhone aux or spotify normally involves a circle of drunken dudebros all trying to individually hijack the tunes and show off their impeccable taste in YouTube-sourced dubstep or trap or something. lame shit.

Pretty much what this was. Except it was less dude-bros and more hipster. Either way, the whole thing was in shambles by the time I got there. I only went because one of the hosts is a close friend, even though I knew none of the attendees would be mutual acquaintances.uziq wrote:

New rule of thumb: if the aux cord is out, so am I.
Back in my day, it was some douche on a guitar playing the music.
It's called a lute, and said "douche" was called a "minstrel".mtb0minime wrote:

Re-found Muse on my playlist. Matt Bellamy is disgustingly talented.

I heard it at that party and thought it would be a perfect troll song. It also has really tame highs and lows, so it comes across well through the in-game voice.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

all EDM is designed for heinously bad dre beats headphones or a phone speaker or laptop-youtube combo so technically it's the definitive sound of VoIP
I also regularly play this track for more of a pump-up vibe. Get's a good reaction usually because it sounds like a 70s porn beat and has Arnold in it.
novelty songs are so frat party. pochsy i hereby deduct another -15 cool points.
I would never play it at a party or as part of my normal listening. It's purely to get a reaction out of the ~15 year old I'm playing Counter Strike against.
Jokes aside I think Arnold is a pretty swell guy, you'd think he'd be ridiculous but some of the things he tried to do as a politician were pretty good in my book

As long as the party isn't playing benny benassi's satisfaction, I could cope with it. Frat parties love to play that shit. Can't stand it.
Well, satisfaction without the vocals is okay. But no one ever plays that.

if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.
most fridays i get home from work, open up a good bottle of beer, slide-up my bay window and let this ooze out into the amber, hoppy evening...
fucking glorious. if i smoked i'd have a cigar going as well.

This album is just so good. Heavy metal at it best.
was at a party last weekend and a couple of us were taking turns plugging in our ipods to the cable, and eventually i played this banger:
