I wonder if CNN got these facts off some of stories from when the Pentagon hired some amateurs to create the fake news operations in Iraq that they've dreamed of having in the United States.

600,000 IRAQI CITIZENS ARE DEAD. Why dont you ask them, and their families how they feel about the American intervention.

He didn't state that he believed "Leftists" don't want to help.  Just that people (he said "leftists" but I believe both left and right) think we're not making progress.  The point I have to agree on is that I sure don't see many stories showing the good days...only the bad. The majority of Troops that were deployed over there that I have spoken to, frequently make the point that we're not seeing the good things back here and that really pisses them off.

I'm sure it's really bad over there, but I'm optimistic that it will be overcome.  As the Iraqis grow in their confidence, they will take it over.  To live through that hell daily, I believe them to be an incredible strong people.

LOL. Japan and Germany almost totally peacefully went about reconstructıng theır respectıve countrıes post-WWII from what was essentıally square one. I don't see ANY evıdece of that happenıng ın Iraq. Japan and Germany were happy to take aıd from the US to help them reconstruct. The Mehdı army and other very popular IRAQI organısatıons want nothıng to do wıth the US. All across the board, even ın Washıngton, they are concedıng that the coalıtıon presence there ıs makıng thıngs worse. I thınk what we wıll have ın Iraq ıs a faıled state or faıled states. They've managed to do to the US/UK what Afghanıstan dıd to the USSR.

The Japan-Germany/Iraq-Afghanıstan analogy faıls...
