As evidence, no.

As an example, yes.  Gattaca is often described as portraying a dystopian society.  Further, whilst there are laws against genetic discrimination, it's the norm.

While I agree that there are some things going on in the US that I don't agree with, nobody can honestly say that we're the country "closest to a dystopia."

I'm living just fine here in the states.
Exactly.  Dystopia doesn't mean anarchy, necessarily.  The US is supported by a well defined class system, where those on the bottom support those on the top without any hope of ever escaping.
Tell that to Oprah. That must be why we have an illegal immigration problem. People risking thier lives in the desert to get here.

Here have a read.

If you are really wanting to know where Delaware is it is on the east coast of the US.  It is not a country but it is a state.

Ahhhhh, but one mans utopia is anothers dystopia. So that dude CAN say United States, how do you know where he lives, what his life is about or anything! What if he lives in the nasty parts of LA?

So just because you have a great life in the USA doesn't mean that everyone else in the USA is all peaches and cream.

I live in the shite hole that is Walsall in the UK, though I quite like it here in the UK. But someone else could live in.... say...... the REALLY bad parts of Manchester and be able to say the UK is a dystopia.

South Africa is bad though, even though I quite like Cape Town, living in Amanzimtoti for a couple of years until I was 10 near Durban (dirty turban).  Jo'burg I can say I only felt safe when my Dad walked with us carring a gun, but knowing other people had bigger ones, It's not a nice place. Cape Town was a lot better. Just don't go though squatter camps (such as the largest in the world - Soweto)

Actually, nowhere on Earth.

If you look up the definition in the Websters Dictionary it plainly states:

1. an imaginary place where people lead dehumanized and often fearful lives

A dystopia is much like a Utopia in the fact that it cannot exist.  You can't have something that can't get any better, just as you can't have anything that can't get any worse.

It's an extreme adjective, if you will.
