im lookin for some good metal bands to fill up some space on my mp3,
so far i listen 2:

36 crazy fists
damage plan
metallica
pantera
KoRn
Rise against
all that remain
avenged sevenfold

i have more but usually only one song or so,

so anyone know anygood bands,preferably with a singer that u can understand most the time and not sound like he puking everywhere

oh man. Korn shouldn't be in there. I like them and all, but their definatly not metal. Their still stuck in that Rap/Rock genre. As for metallica, everything BEFORE the black album is great. Everything AFTER (including the black album) sucked IMO. Avenged Sevenfold is a great addition to the metal community. I really like their song Bat Country. My personal fav's are:

Iced Earth
In Flames
Fear Factory
Obituary
Pantera
Judas Priest
Slayer
Ozzy

Also, no metal fan should ever miss this show. METALOCALYPSE!!!!

i dont much like that in flames band,ive heard about iced earth before but havent looked dem up
dont much care for ozzy just cause ive heard him way 2 much,slayer is alright but not great,pantera was in ma list and one of ma favs "mouth for war" is one of my all time favs
lmao sad to say that my mom listens to judas priest and i hate em,never heard of obituary

Ok if you want the best progressive thrash band around and don't mind politics thrown into the rocking then Propagandhi is the band for you. People think they are punk rock because they used to be on a punk rock label and their albums had punk songs, but now they are a full fledged thrash metal band, very melodic and progressive. Check out the following Propagandhi songs:

-Speculative Fiction
-Die Jugend Marschiert
-Rock For Sustainable Capitalism
-Iteration
-Purina Hall of Fame
-Back to the Motor League

And check out the two albums those songs are from, Potemkin City Limits and Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes.

If you like metal but don't like In Flames, download their songs Embody the Invisible and Watch them Feed. Tell me you don't like those two In Flames songs at least.

Slayer rules. Check out their album God Hates Us All or their newest one they just put out. Especially the songs Payback, Threshold and Disciple.

If you want to hear the most psychotic metal song ever download When Good Dogs do Bad Things by Dillinger Escape Plan.

Wake the Dead by Comeback Kid is a great song but I don't like a lot of their other songs.

Others that have said here, Pantera, pre-Black Album Metallica, etc.

I am also getting into DragonForce and DevilDriver these days.

Whoever said Avenged Sevenfold isn't metal, why not?
