A lot more realistic... in so many ways. Strats. Team organization. And a lot more choices than an m16. It requires a lot more thought.

In airsoft skirmishes, BB's will go IN your skin. So people who say paintball hurts more, try having a bb stuck in your skin, then taking a knife and digging it out..
Not to mention the usual bruises of a BB going twice the speed of a paintball...
Dood, thats pellet gun. BB is plasitc. and go less than 150 feet per second. paintball travels between 280 - 350 feet per second. but the pain is GAME. if it dont hurt, why fuck you wanna play? thats what makes it intense!joker8baller wrote:

I'm pretty sure my gun goes 400fps, and my sniper I used to have went about 520fps...
Limit for a professional game is 300 I believe, last time I got out of paintballing
Limit for airsoft is 400 for auto
550-650 for sniper rifles.
I've gone paintballing. No bruises, that's with a t-shirt, and khaki's. 250 limit...
Airsoft. Welts and bruises, with a 400 limit.

I use .20 gram airsoft bb's and my gun that i have shoots 307 fps. Out of my friends i have the gun that shots the fastest. It just depends on where you get it that hurts the most. As for paintball, its fun, but atleast with airsoft guns you can pick up the bullets you shot off
Guess what. despite the increased speed. Paintballs still cause more damage, becuase they have a higher impact weight. Standard issue airsoft guns = 200-300. same as a paintball. LIsten, airsoft doesnt fucking hurt, i do it all the time. Paintball. shirts and a t-shirt, prepare for some brusing.
Yeah... but you guys are saying that's worse than getting a BB in your skin, so far you have to take tweezers or a knife to get it out.
Still a lower fps then airsoft. The only reason is because the paintball is larger and it's plastic, but still a smaller object going at a higher speed will still cause more damage, just not over a large radius, it'll just go in your skin more ^^

Airsoft - I saw some kid shoot a 550fps gun with .3' BB's... Tore apart a Soda can. 1/2 easily. I used to shoot cans with paintball... that never happened. Mind you my gun shoot 287
Not to mention the element of suprise, and suspense as you just walked a mile to get to a perfect position and your sneaking up behind, or the fast pace battle of cqb... It's just not the same with paintball.

Exactly, despite that the paintballs are bigger and weigh more, therefore it takes more speed for it to penetrate an object Eg. as stated above, a soda can. Whereas with airsoft guns they have the right amount of velocity and weight that can penetrate a pop can. Think of it this way, someone trys to stab you with a pencil, doesn't require that much force to penetrate. But take a white board marker, it requires more force as it has a bigger area to cover and the force of the marker is spread over its area. Check out the KJW M700... Runs off of green gas, get the AI propane adaptor and you have a stock gun that shoots 550 fps.
Still I've never gotten bruised from the 3 times I went paintballing..
The only time I've really gotten hurt is where I got shot in the neck 4 times, or in the... yeah. like 6times.. Still didn't bruise... ><

the airsoft guns do hurt quite a bit me and my friends play all the time i have an m249saw that shoots at 850 fps, and a m4 that shoots 700 fps, my friend uses a sniper rifle that shoots faster, they hurt alot but we also use full tactical gear so it only hurts its you get hit in teh arms legs or face, they break the skin and stick in quite often, so we have a guy runnin around with a numbin chemical and tweezers aka ref, and the airsoft guns are way more accurate than paintball guns and shoot further so i say airsoft, though the guns are more expensive, but the bbs are cheaper than paintballsTrigger_Happy_92 wrote:

paintball- alot more skill is needed not to mention ALOT more teamwork and just knowing how to use the different types of bunkers takes alot of practice and experience.

I'd still like to know where the fuck i can get one of those guns. I live in canada so im not quite so sure where to get them compared to down in the states. I'd prefer a sniper rifle, any ideas guys
