The stock is designed for tactical use, not clay shooting - ie shooting horizontally, not up in the air.

It has rifle sights.....

But you're going to buy it anyway because you're not interested in skeet, you want a badass 12 gauge matt-black pump action tactical shotgun which makes that cool 'schntick-schntick' noise for some reason which you probably don't understand yourself.

Shifty, if you want a trap & skeet or hunting shotgun, you probably want a double barreled long-barrel 12ga or 20ga, with choke.

If you want a tactical room clearing shotgun, get a Benelli M1014/M4 semiauto shotgun, or a Remington 870.
Military people I know like the Benelli M1014 semi-auto just fine.

SWAT trainers I know have seen too many failure-to-feed, jams, and stoppages in the Benelli, during real world scenarios
(Not during training, just when they actually needed them to work, they failed).

Not a good plan to assume they are unarmed.

Also, not a good plan to give away your location, your awareness, or that you're armed.
Now they know where you are, and you don't know how many or where they are.

Better, if possible, to get the drop on the intruder first.
Get eyes on, to see if it's a drunk neighbor came in the wrong house, or some other dumb misunderstanding.
Or, even a burglar with a shotgun pointed at him is more likely to wait for the police to arrive.
