Try to change the sound option to something else.. I don't have that problem and my options are the standard (for me)

Well, I would like it to work on all settings. It's supposed to do that? I don't buy a $2000 computer to play on low settings.

If I switch to music mode, the artillery is fine, but then I can't even choose x-fi as an option in the menu, nor EAX.

I shall test if setting to low quality will help now.

EDIT: On low and medium it's ok, but on high and ultra high it's crap.

ok, let me try on High (doesn't work with Ultra on my computer)
