By its definition, fornication means sex outside of marriage, which can be understood as sex when you're not married. To a Christian, premarital sex is not allowed because sex is sacred, but to some non-Christians, premarital sex is unethical.
From reading certain posts on this forum, it seems like the ritual of going to a bar, meeting someone and then having a one night stand, after which the two people would once again become strangers is a club of which some people are members. From this I gather it is quite common in the different parts of the world (mostly advanced nations and the newly industrialised nations) for this to occur, and people no longer look at it in disdain. Perhaps a shift of the social paradigm had occurred some time over the past 20 years led by American popular culture to have warranted this previously prohibited display of salaciousness.
I would like to pose this question to the BF2s community: Would you have pre-marital sex? If yes, what do you feel about it? If not, what do you think stops you from doing it?
Poll
Would you consider/have engaged in premarital sex?
Yes, already been there and done that. | 66% | 66% - 209
Yes, I will if I get the chance to/grow up. | 18% | 18% - 59

Definitely not, it's wrong. | 9% | 9% - 29

But whats the purpose of the picture?
I tried the whole not having sex thing with my first g/f and she ended up breaking up with me b/c of it. So i quit that.
I think you almost need to have sex with a fiance or g/f before you get married. What if you get married and you are not sexually compatible. No I'm not talking about being to small to meet her needs. I'm talking about enjoying sex with each other and having a good sexual appetite with in each others means. I'm married and had lots of sex with my current wife before we got married.
On a side note if you're trying to be a virgin till you get married more power to you. But probably 90% (a figure from general knowledge and being a college student) of girls have had sex already and your gonna get married to a non virgin unless your lucky some how. Girls are having sex as early as 12, 13, 14. Because they go out with older guys (13,14,15,16)and they want them to have sex. Its almost a societal norm now to have had sex before or by age 16.
I think the main problem is what was stated earlier. That sex is being associated with love. So if a girl thinks shes in love she thinks it is OK to have sex with her b/f. Sorry if I'm being biased here but 9 out of 10 times its the guy pressuring the girl to have sex. And 9/10 the girl probably isn't ready yet and just does it because she thinks if she doesn't she won't be 'loved' as much.
I think it is sick how girls at age 12-14 are having sex. I just don't think they are at the mental capacity to understand sex and the consequences that come with it.
In my day i wasn' thinking about that shit. And I'm not even that old. Its the generation about 2-3 years under me that this all started.

I do not believe that engaging in such an action is very gentleman-like or a show of strong moral character.
Is this the 18th century or is this thread one long sarcasmfest? I'm confused.
Why not? I agree that pressuring girls into sex is very un-gentleman like, but quite often these days they're the ones doing the pressuring... (not that much pressure is usually needed)DesertFox423 wrote:

What's immoral about sex? Why should it say anything about moral character? That is just religious prejudice.
Ungentlemanlike indeed. Does he realise that girls do in fact enjoy sex, the best natural high available, and seek it out?Bertster7 wrote:

Well, I am currently, not looking just for sex.
Nor am I. But if the opportunity arises.......DesertFox423 wrote:

I'm not yet married, I've had sex once and once only.
I was 13, he was 51.
I never went back to Sunday School after that.

Let's us talk about moral behaviour.
Sex has become a part of this society, believes has lost their power due to the evolution of mankind. We look further than some man in a dress tells us to look.
We from believes that pre-marriage sex is your ticket down to hell, but have you Christians ever read the bible?
People engaging in sex are spiritually marrried in the eyes of your God. Breaking that bond is the sin, not the sex.
And we are offended by 14 year old girls seeking sex. Why? It was the most normal thing in the middle-ages.
Early age marriage and giving birth to children at a low age, because then it was needed to ensure your 'old days'.

Adam and Eve were naked, they were just created by God, and what did they do? They ate an apple coz a snake told Eve. Then, God kick their asses out of Eden. If they teach you that eating an apple is wrong, then imagine what a big deal is getting laid.
Careful there mate, the Bible says you should only have sex once you're married to someone, because it creates the bond between man and woman. Breaking that bond refers to divorce, not not having sex outside of marriage.Bernadictus wrote:

You guys don't get me wrong, I posed this question with the full respect that people have choice and I'm inviting you guys to share your views. I have my own values which I hold upstanding, but I'm not trying to spread a doctrine or anything.
If you are supposed to have sex once, poor the girl who marries you. She will need the sex shop delivery number.Vub wrote:

Most of them are probably adolescents who voted yes for the illusion of feeling cool.Vub wrote:
There's an overwhelming percentage saying yes, not too surprising. But sex like everything else can become stale if had in excessive amounts. I feel having premarital sex will make it less pleasurable with your wife/husband later on; or will make you judge a person by their ability to satisfy your sexual desires in longer term relationships because your standards would obviously be higher. What do you guys think?
That being said, strong family values are part of what keeps a country strong.

When I was 17, I dated women around the age of 32.
Now I'm 32 and I'm dating women of 23 and lower.
There were days where I made love with everything that had a girly name..
Now.. I'm just tired of fucking, These days I reject a girl just to prevent myself from fucking another 24 hours in a row, mááán I'm just overloaded.

That's why you don't marry a whore.sergeriver wrote:

I was in rock bands all through my 20's, and sometimes a girl would come up and say, hey want to party? and I'd go to her place and bang the hell out of her.
A coupla times I tried to get a replay, but found that they were usually just into the one night stand.
For me there were two types of girls, whores and girl friends. You can't love a whore and you usually can't treat your gf like a whore.
If you think you have feelings for a girl, put off da bangin as long as possible; your more likely to have a relationship if you do. If you see a chance for some casual sex, I'd suggest taking it, but just don't expect anything else.
38, and had lots of chicks.
