BF2S Forums Titan vs Titan

It was a 4 person game, and I was bored. BTW, I was commanding while the thing was moving. It was just at the end of the game I decided to use the pea shooter. (It's still the demo anyway)

except the part where you can use the mounted assault pods to launch unrelenting attacks on their titan without the need for an apc or transport?

1.) The sides of the air vehicle bay. They're real inconspicuous, you just walk up to the hatches and press "e".

Oh, btw, I found those pods, thanks alot, they are rather inconspicous, but now that I know where they are, its kinda sad that I've been missing them.

Speaking of titan to titan battles, today we fought one and it was hilarious, because the 2 titans were facing each other, and guys kept trying to take off in the dropship from the enemy titan while our commander whored the guns and shot them down.

was possible in the beta. could morph the titans together and they exploded. but the round continued.

I think the advantages of moving the titan outweight the disadvantages.

I remember this one battle.  The enemy titan had parked right above my AA turret (well almost right above).  So I started blasting the turrerts on the bottom side.  Very fun.  The Titan finally started to move probably people complaining to their commander.  Don't know why that was fun but it was.  Maybe because all the people trying to take off and getting blown up.

How about you actually launch yourself onto the enemy Titan and do YOUR job rather than complain about a commander's actions several games away?

Exactly. The only way to move the Titan around IS to command. Arguments against it are even more ludicrous than the anti-tank-commanders in BF2.

That being said, I can't conceive of a single military designer that would build something as cumbersome as that. Not even any weaponry that can shoot directly at any side...what a fucking blind spot.

Had a game like this last night. The commander had moved the titan near the central silo, so had the enemy commander. There was a poor guy in a mech at the silo who I was bombarding the hell out of and he couldn't work out where he was getting hit from (what with the mechs not being able to look up n all) and he was spinning round and round looking for a target.

Both Titan shields went down at about the same time, our guys boarded their titan, I stayed on ours on the top chain gun and not one heli got anywhere near us.

Message to new players, don't try to fly a transport heli to the titan, you won't make it if there's a decent gunner in the titan weapons. APC pods are much more effective.

Actually, if you do the launch-a-pod-onto-ur-own-titan thing, here's a cool tip: If you can glance the transport just right your pod will kill it as you land and you won't take damage. Faster, easier, and safer thant trying to steal it. Plus, it kills the people in the transport and gets you behind the enemy.

Ah but if you can land the transport on the titan it becomes a spawn point. Just put it in the blind spot from the AA gun.
