I didnt do this in the Beta (wasnt worth it with only one week), but when 2142 arrives I think I'm gonna unlock everything using four different soldiers, one for each kit. There are 8 unlocks for each kit, so I can get everything in about 4000 points. Then I can go back and add grenades and squad leader stuff and I'm done, everything unlocked in a few weeks.

The only disadvantage is that changing kit mid-round gives you no unlocks, but compared with doing away hundreds of hours needed to get them it seems pointless.

If its purely to try out the unlocks, its a good idea. But what happens when you've unlocked everything? Are you going to log out and rejoin the server with another kit?

With th eunlocks the ieda is to use the best weapons to help your squad. Reason being you can onle carry I believe a total of 6 at a time... There are actually more than just 8 unlucks per kit. You literally have to build your way up just to gte gun unlock. I did Orignal beta, and had 2-3 unlocks per.. Best thing to do is use your unlocks al on one kit 1st, then you get the ultimate soldier.

you customize your kit, no reason to log off and on..it is all in game

You unlock one kit that you feel will suit you best (right hand side of assult for me) then once you've got your standard kit worked out you then use all your unlocks to diversify.

For the first week or so I'll end up playing medic/assult, after that I should have enough unlocks (right hand side of the recon kit being the most important) to go and play all the different kits.

But I heard the ranks are more evenly spaced so wouldnt getting all unlocks be gained just as quickly as doing it four times ???

Go for awards to get the unlocks. An expert award gets you 1,000 points so a long term comitment to a single soldier will help. Also the new easy to get pins will help alot too.

Well when I get the game, the first thing I am going to do is make a mod in which I will include the unlocks so I can test em all out.

I knew some of the awards gave you 40, 50 points, but 1000? Is there a list of award values?
