7600GTx2 in SLI vs 7950GTx1

Hi I'm am looking to upgrade my PC current specs are:

1GB ram
geforce5600fx 256MB AGP
3ghz pentium

i play on a average of 20-25 fps everything on low on 800x600 res.
i am upgrading all the components listed above + motherboard to one that supports SLI and PCI-E.

and i need some help deciding on the GPU, What do you guys and gals recommend: 2 x 7600GT (256MB 128bit) in SLI or
1 x 7950GT (512MB 256bit) or neither, please reply.

From what i have heard the 950 doesnt not preform well unless at 1600 x 1200 or higher, i have also heard that not meny games are supporting the 950 in my opinion you would be better going for the X1900XTX or the 7800GT

A 7600GT will play a game very well with 2 Gigs of ram

It's getting released in Novemeber in the states is all that I know of. Try contacting your local computer-specialist store to find out.

just buy one 7600GT, save up for a DX10 SLI setup, don't forget 2gb ram, *cough core 2 duo cough*

1G X 2 CORSAIR 6400
NEC DVD/RW

Worth the money

id say just go w/ one 7600 and wait until dx10. But just in case you can't wait, dun get a 7800gt. go w/ the 7900gt or gs instead.

Just moved from two 7900gts in SLI to a single 1950xtx.

7900's in sli 3dmark06: 6200 even
1950xtx single in 06: 6290 even

Same 3.0 cpu in both tests, so no conroe advantage on that one.

For $420, you cant go wrong with a 1950 card! I paid ~$560 for my two 7900's.

a dumb qustion here, but what are pipeline in terms of graphics cards..? and is it better to have more or less ? sorry im not to good with computer parts.
