I kept hearing the Ventrilo sound. I play with Brits every night and talk with them, not one of them uses an "American accent"..lol
When I was 16 i was playing Soccer overseas, thank god my Dad kicked my ass and made me get out and do something. If I ever punched a whole in a wall over a video game my dad would have probably kicked my teeth in.

I think the mums more to blame than the kid. Why hasnt she got any sort of control over him? Shes crying but she does shite all to try and stop him. Sure its ok to play a bit.....but I think the parents have to limit it!

i've read somewhere that things like this are a huge problem in japan as well where the MMORG is king of all things.

but the longest i've ever been on a game at once is probably 7 hours on GW's which i've got bored of and just haven't played in 5 months.

It's obviously a thin line between "making friends and rejoicing in online playing" and "completely giving up every kind of activity outside the game". For some reason, it seems to be worst with WoW indeed, as this is the third or fourth report I've seen about this problem it has been mentioned in. While they blame CS for people going amok, they seem to blame WoW for the vast majority of internet and online gaming addiction.

Don't even get me started on WoW. That game is an addiction and a hard one to break. I played for 9 months straight. No other game just WoW. The game is fun i admit that but once you get to the max lvl of 60 your life turns into 4 to 6 hours of doing the same thing over and over again i.e. raiding instances. You must do this to advance equipment in the game or you will just suck and not be able to compete against other people in player vs player (pvp) action. Its all about who has got what and how good can they make their player.

I still want to go back and play it but with my wife, school, and work it just isn't possible right now.

MMO's are evil. That's my view. I played Planetside for a month and it was the first time in my life I stayed up all night. Fuck, I think the BF2 ranking system is evil for providing the same kind of inventive. Hollow goals that feed off of anticipation to steal our money.

Agreed. she has the power at any time to pull the plug, cut the connection or not send the subscription fee and she just watches and cries. People like her will lead to the fall of civilization.

Thanks for the karma zerosniper. But really the longest time in a row I played BF2 was 12 hours, and 1. it was my first day playing ranked servers and 2. I still had lunch and dinner and used the bathroom. This kid's parents are nuts! I think they should make him get a job (as a professional gold farmer as its all hes good for) and make him pay for his own subscription fee, wall repair and new keyboards.

longest ive ever been on a game is 13 hours, at a lan center, all day, playing BF2, just because my comp is shit and i cant run bf2. but i live in alaska and i got 1100 free dollars today yay for permanent fund dividends
