It's probobly scarier for the hundreds of people that died. This is by no means the full video. One of the audience with a camera goes walking along the landing path of that plane, dismemberments, people cut in half. I'm not close to kidding. At exactly 55s you can see a little on the ground.
Although, points to the pilot for steering it away from the main crowd.

Unless the person filming had hearing protection, they probably would have had some loss of hearing, at least temporarily.
Freaky stuff indeed.

yeah i went searching for some more info on it. "On 27 July 2002, 84 people were killed and over 100 injured at an airshow in Sknyliv (???????) airport near Lviv, Ukraine. A Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft crashed during an aerobatics presentation." I couldn't find out whether the pilot lived or not.Defiance wrote:

A terrible thing for sure. But it could have been worse by 10 fold had the pilot not attepted to bank it away. Gotta be a hard thing knowing that your going to have to die to save those people instead of ejecting.
Anyone know where I could find the full video?
good find, ssen it before, so close, but no +1

Poor people, what a terrible event.
For those who didnt read the wikipedia link, the two crew did survive.
"On June 24, 2005, military courts sentenced the two pilots, Volodymyr Toponar and Yuriy Yegorov, to fourteen and eight years in prison, respectively. The court found the two pilots and three other military officials guilty of failing to follow orders, negligence and violating flight rules. Two of the three officials were sentenced to up to six years in prison, and the last official received up to four years.
To the credit of the pilots, eyewitnesses reported that they continued to attempt to steer the plane away from the crowd even as the plane was scraping along the ground and impacting other planes. The pilots did not eject until the plane became completely uncontrollable as it began to cartwheel. Staying in the aircraft when it was clearly about to crash was an extreme risk to the pilot's lives, and it is testament to the pilot's concern for public safety over their own."
