I will be pre-ordering one from every local game store I can. The X360 ebayed for $900+ during its launch. Imagine how much you can bank ebaying 4-5 PS3's.

Discuss.
you noobs are going to blast $600 smackers for a damn PS3 which has no HDTV cables that you must buy seperately?

console systems are getting stupid now, just like noobs who play bf2

Holy de-railing batman.

But I don't think Halo is that bad of a game.  I personally don't find that the multi-player is harder for the sheer fact that, yes, Halo does auto-aim, and that everyone runs for the sword or rocket launcher.  The most fun matches I ever have in Halo are Duel Weapon's Only matches.  In fact, the main thing I like about Halo is it's storyline.

Also, I think a poll would be a little biased figuring BF2 is a PC game.  Just like if you went to xbox.com and asked the same thing.  Sure, some people would vote for PC, but most would vote for console.

I disagree. The man made a movie about a fucking gaint ape. He didn't do THAT for the money, he did it because he WANTED TO. He wanted to do that movie ever since he started in the movie business, and with the money he earned with LOTR he went ahead and did it. He went for his dream. Good for him. Nobody needed a giant-ape movie, and he took enormous risk with making that film. Props to him. Halo's story is okay, and I look forward to seeing what Peter Jackson makes of it. But he SHOULD have done a metal gear solid or half-life movie. Or some more interesting game. Halo would not have been my first choice for a movie.
The thing about Halo that MGS and Half-Life doesn't have is that "Mythical Epicness" compared to that of LOTR. Yes, MGS and Half-Life all seem less influenced by other sci-fi (MGS has certaintly turned sci-fi) works, but they do not have that legendary mythical storyline that Halo does. On the surface, Halo is just ANOTHER ALIEN INVASION, but if you read the 3 books (Fall of Reach, First Strike, The Flood) and payed specific attention to the storyline every single aspect is overshadowed by one gigantic truth that not everything is as it seems, and that the ultimate truth is much larger-than-life which conversely makes the player/viewer feel very little in the grand scheme of things transpiring.

I believe there will be an MGS movie too, but I think it will compete more with the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six movies than Halo.
Books? Halo books? And did the game developers know about these books? What I mean to say is, is the game storyline compatible with that in the books? And will the games actually feature this 'gigantic truth' or will that only show up in the books? I played both Halo games but never really got this ultimate truth feeling you speak of.
Actually yes, Bungie knew quite well about the Halo novels before they came out, and no one know's if "he games actually feature this 'gigantic truth' ". That's up to the developers to decide, but it most likely will since Halo 3 is the end of the story arc. And apparently, you've never heard of the Halo Bible.
