- Help with 1.4 Patch?
The patches look for the installed game by checking the registry I think (since you can't, as far as I know, tell a BF2 patch which version to update if you happen to have more than one installed; it always looks in the same place, where you first installed it).
Anyway, are you sure this is the full version and not the demo? Because you need the DVD just to load the game.

erm, you need the full patch. the incremental patch just won't cut it, i'm afraid. and if it came with the computer, it's pretty likely to be the demo. what CD is it, anyway? a BF2 disk, or a HD recovery disk? as BF2 shouldn't fit onto one disk.........

I'm not sure but by looking at that ss, I'd say that is an image mounted on a virtual drive (judging by the file size and the fact that there is no space available. Or do you have the physical disk(s)?
If that is a mounted image, you still need the physical disk to do any updates (guys, feel free to correct me). I have a couple of games of mine mounted as images so I don't ruin the original disks...mounted images allow you to play games without having the physical disk in a CD/DVD drive.

You need to install battlefield 2... That's just the mounted image of the game. Unfortunately you only have cd 1 mounted, so you'll need to go out and buy the game. But when you do buy the game, you can play without the cd in the drive!!!
Not if its mounted using Alcohol 120. BF2 detects the virtual drive and won't let you into BF2 until you remove it.elite.mafia wrote:
