1.12 is what I have installed right now and am I playing it too. IT IS RANKED AND THE SERVERS DO RECORD THE STATS!

actually i bought bf2 back at the end of summer then after 1 week my computer went down and i wasnt ranked or anything. so i got my comp fixed recently at early september and i upgraded to 1.4 i instantly realized that i was better than b4. so i guess 1.4 helped somehow
I consider myself an average at best BF2 player and I think 1.4 is the best the game has been. I'm glad all the stuff like bunny hopping grenade launchers; C4 throwing; invincible black hwks and other exploits have been taken out.Ben>You wrote:

1.4 rewards a more cautious, tactical, squad based approach.
THe game is much more playable for those (like me) who aren't super uber leeeeeeeeeet, which as that is most of the people who will be buying and playing the game must be a good thing.
Surely all you bad ass super duper leet stat monkeys are still playing, winning and scoring better with your super skillzzzz than the average player? It's just a bit more fun for the average players in 1.4 than in 1.12.
I'd post my stats but what would that prove?
