3 Questions:

Does getting killed, as opposed to getting critically wounded, mean no medic can revive you?

Does anyone have a definitive list of all the ways you get killed in BF2 1.4 such that a medic can't revive you?

And, does anyone know why sometimes the empty health bar doesn't appear on friendly soldiers who have been critically wounded?

- Yes

Does anyone have a definitive list of all the ways you get killed in BF2 1.4 such that a medic can't revive you?
- Direct hit from arty shell, tank shell, AT rocket, TV/Laser missile. Run over by fast moving vehicle, crushed by supply crate or vehicle drop. Dying while in a vehicle, ladder or ground/air-defence emplacements.

And, does anyone know why sometimes the empty health bar doesn't appear on friendly soldiers who have been critically wounded?
-They didn't click their left mouse button to call for a medic.

And none of the above was changed/added in 1.4.

You cant revive if they are stuck in a wall, or pole whatever, or died in a LMG.

Excellent way to sum it up!

You can also be killed by direct hits from jet bombs, of course.

Or... lesser known: from massive splash (not direct!) damage while critically wounded. This one is most visible if an APC keeps firing its cannon at your body, artillery that didn't immediately disintegrate you but keeps falling next to you, or you get critted for being out of bounds too long - you'll see a red bar indicating that you're still getting hurt, and eventually... dead.

Also, I've been occasionally killed by an M95 headshot. Maybe it's a certain rare % chance for it to happen. And I've noticed it's a lot easier to be killed in Special Forces, like by a claymore going directly off in your face. Once in SF I was a medic with two other teammates, and I was hoping to use/revive them for claymore sweeping. Well, they both DIED from the claymores they caught, so that didn't work out too well.

So I will stay away from Claymores and make sure I put the Noobs up front.

I think in SF if you get shot in the head whether it be from a claymore or a gun, you get killed.

You can get revived when you are dead instead of critically wounded.... I get it sometimes but i usually take the medic 3-4 tries before that happen.

In SF a headshot kills you a fair bit I noticed. Also, certain players seem to always kill you, even if its only with a pistol or AK or something. Anyone else noticed this? 3 friends and I were playing the other day and we all noticed one particular guy on the other team was setting us all to KILLED no matter what he hit us with.  Does the SF headshot thing work in jalalabad perhaps?

Agreed on nice summary -   Lime.    + 1

Also about if the critical wounded is too close to wall or a vehicle.
Kinda morbidly entertaining when body is caught in fence or hanging from roof.

Anyone else notice that since 1.4 when you get revived several times you'll eventually be revived with the kit you selected to spawn with, and your old kit will be an extra kit laying on the ground.

Yeah it's happened to me before, I get revived and there are numerous extra kits around me.

Also, has anyone been revived without a weapon? I'm still seeing plenty of times people getting revived running around as if they want a hug. Do you know if, from that person's point of view, they've got a weapon in their hands?

- Yep it's a known "feature" in 1.4... gotta love getting full ammo though

- If you can't see them holding a weapon, neither can themselves. They have got to find a kit lying on the floor and pick it up. It's pretty funny in a sense that without their helmets and all, you might mistake a zombie in a MG emplacement as someone who died while using it... And then he fires at you

nGGG!! Some bits are wrong. Sometimes it is weird, you are 'Critically Wounded' but the messege still says 'You were killed', still, you are critically wounded.

To tell the difference, if you were 'killed' you would be in 3rd person mode looking at youre own body disspaearing, if you are wounded, you will just look up towards the sky with the heartbaet sounds.
