I think maybe the US merged with the EU or something.
HM, you are right there you would just go back to 2 teams except 1 would have 2 titans and twice as many people. you probably have to make it no alliances, unless any 1 else has a idea on how to have alliances that aren't over powered?Ty wrote:
It would be pointless. What would there be to stop you killing your other team allies? If you get teamkill or whatever, dosn't that just mean that there are two team again?
Definatly would not work. Ever.
Three teams is certainly a cool dynamic, but is problematic. Imagine the logistics to adding new weapons/map modifications. It's much better to keep things simple and fun than add random variables to the war. Now I agree it could be fun, but it's much harder to be fair when there are three opposing forces. Imagine if the NBA had three teams on the court. Imagine how many new rules would have to be penned just to make it possible. That to the nth power would be what three bf2142 teams would have to deal with.
I can't think historically of any wars where three armies fought separately on the same battlefield. If two nations want to fight together they would have some sort of joint command to control their units on the battlefield. (+1 to anyone who can cite an example of a three way battle) I am afraid that in this case your idea might be fun, but adds complexity to a game that is already pretty complicated in the first place.
Ménage à trois always sounds like a good idea in theory, but someone always leaves feeling betrayed...

Lol, and then it would be like,Tas3674 wrote:
in 2142 we could have say 3 teams instead of 2 in 1 round? now i know there would probably be tonnes of problems that this would create, that u will end up pointing out to me and then most likely flame me, i haven't really thought about it that hard just came to me and i wondered what u guys would think? you would probably need a new game mode other wise u would have a team who's, say titan got blown up and have no were to spawn. But i reckon it would be awesome to have 3 titans together. any way plz tell me your opinions.
Sorry if my grammar is dodgy, I'm tired and cant be bothered checking it.
Team 1: pssssst!! Team 2, Lets work together to beat team 3.
Team 2: Yeah, yeah lets do that
Team 3: Gets pwned. By Team 1 and Team 2
Half way through owning Team 3:
Team 1: Pssst team 1: lets backstab team 2 and then finish off team 3:
Team 2: WTF?!?!
Team 3: WTF?!?!

i can just see 3 squads of 3 people from the 3 teams all going for the same flag...
Um, I'm not certain on my facts but i can recall 2 i think, not sure if they ended up in 3 way battles but i do believe they did. Any way first 1 when Britain and France were at each others throats, there was the Spanish who kept on switching sides, i think at some point there was a time when Spain was fighting solo.all three came together with a fleet crash.P581 wrote:

Also in Korea about 50 odd years ago, the UN was pushing up through north Korea when china started feeling threatened by the UN solders getting to close to the border and then sent troops down, were i do believe killing Korean and UN troops.
any way my facts are a little dodgy but i cant be bothered researching it right now.
I see y you say it would be complicated, i reckon if you were to do this you would have to dump the hole alliance idea even through it would be cool.
