Yeah its getting prity bad. All the other religions are criticized and ridiculed across the world. But Islam is a no no it seams. The popes comments were taken totally out of context. He was quoting a king from 800 years ago as part of this speech. I blame the Internet. Afew emails failing to state the context in which the offending sentence was used send around the world and BAM, you have effigies of the pope burning in every corner of the globe.
The Danish cartoon thing was again out of context. The Danish ppl have a culture of ridiculing and basically taking the piss out of everyone at every level, its part of their culture you could say. Yes the cartoon were defamatory, yes they were insulting to Islam, but its part of the culture to pick at everything. Its just another example of the void forming between Christianity and Islam/East and west. The Armageddon is coming!!!

There's sideways methods of going about restriction of freedom of speech. A car sales lot in my city can wave as many checkered flags as they want and fly as many balloons as they want and Koreatown can display as many of their flags as they want, but a military surplus pawn shop owner can't fly his US, Washington State, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard and POWMIA flag over his own building without being forced by the city to take them down because they're an "eyesore."

Free speech is here to stay. It is yet another one of our civil liberties that are under threat in this climate of fear.

Would it help if you understood that freedom doesn't mean the right to do whatever you want, it means the right to do whatever you want AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T HARM OTHERS.

We have welcome people from many different cultures to Britain and for the most they have integrated and become British, but still keeping there own cultures and ways and love this country as much as me, look at Amir Khan the boxer, he come out wearing the Union Jack and Monty Panesar, Shaun Udal (Who sadly had the Pakistani supporters calling him a Traitor) from the English Cricket team are as English as English can be, they are proud to play for there country and live here.

Most of the Older end of Muslims who came to England in the 60's are the same, many have fought and died for this country.

Jabron Hashmi was born in Pakistani city of Peshawar and came to live in Birmingham, he join the British Army and was a L/Cpl, He was killed in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban alongside Corporal Peter Thorpe in a rocket-propelled grenade attack. Here was a Muslim that came to Britain and embraced our culture and Sadly died for his and my Country.

I went to a multi-cultural School and had and still have many Muslim, Hindu and Jewish friends, my Brother in-law came from Afghanistan married my sister and have two children of who I am uncle to and yes he is just the same as my other blood brothers to me.

These are the people Britain wants and needs, whether they are born or emigrate here, People who take on our culture as their own, while keep their own routes as well.

What scares me is what seem to the some of the  younger end of British Born Muslims who seem to think its right to kill their fellow country men, women and children.

Islam is a Peaceful religion, that has sadly been taken and twisted by extremists for their own gains, by what you could almost say brainwashing young Muslim people to kill Innocent people.

I don't normally get involved in race topics, but I feel strongly on this mater and I don't mean to offend anybody except the extremist.

Its time to give peace a chance.
