Yes, Infantry Only is allowed under the ROE if that's what you're asking.

IO is allowed on all servers.

No.  Some may not use the infantry only option, but make the rules so you can only use jeeps.  For example, if you get in a tank or plane the will kick you from the server.

seems like all the flyboys and vehicle whores don't like IO because they can't rape infantry. Its the food chain I know, but Playing IO and regular I definately am looking more IO, more skill is involved at some point, I'd rather dodge snipers and nades than spawncamping tanks/apc's. Even though I get fair share of both.

Just last night I was bored and went Derka-Derka and killed Tankwhore #1 and #2 twice and you ought to see the bitching about me being unfair and an idiot..why? Was it because he couldn't spawnrape in the tank and get loads of points (like he did two games previous). If you can't stop the Derka, stay out of the armor, same people always, always in armor. And cry when they get blown up by Derka's but brag about gold and other shit when they rape infantry. Ive been in a tank and went after infantry also, but my primary goal is to support and cap flags; as in first person view - infantry are my eyes and ears, I drive and cap in 3 person quick keys to eliminate the Derkas and infantry Ops.

See infantry and vehicle people have differences and we'll never come to aggreance. BF2 is made for all sorts of battles, but there are instances where infantry needs to be addressed and SF made it possible for that. If tanks want tank battles you'd see Zetar/Sounghua/Smokescreen filled instead of Karkand.

But what do infantry get? Raped by jets/all types of vehicles and bashing of "go play CS:S". Bottom of the food chain, but I tell you this: If I Derka your ass, don't complain, thats all we got; otherwise it takes us 3 hits AT to pray that we don't get hit.

Ive played IO twice. That has been 2 rounds on Warlord, on a half empty server and full server.


It was the slowest, most boring nade and claywhore fest I have ever played. Its like Karkand - totally fucked up. Medics and Supports. And a dozen snipers, not once using their rifles/zip lines/pistols - just running in flat out straight lines popping claymores wherever they could.

Even city maps need the armour to balance out the game and to make it actually move along. You cant sit there and throw nades like theres no tomorrow if a tank is parked in your way can ya?
Karkand without the armour spawnraping would see the entire round of 32v32 people at the front lobbing nades at each other with no desire to go and cap flags.
Rest assured, I will be sticking to servers that play the game normally. Arty/jets/helis - its all part of the game, how the game is meant to be played. And most impotantly, it is how each map was designed, balanced and meant to be played.
And no, im not an armour spawnraping whore. I play the proper maps in this game, outside of city maps to get time/kills in vehicles. My EU & PLA medals and NA Ribbon kinda prove that.

Yeah i dont think its too bad. Works very good in Warlord actually, and even though i do play as sniper there, i only ever have time to use my rifle, there are loads of squads assulting bases. Its better than regular
