How u all going

Really enjoy the game.

Any way i installed the new 1.4 patch and when ever i want to play i get onto the sever and after about 1min it tells me ive lost connection. This didnt happen before in the old patch, (it did it some times). But this is every game. I downloaded the Incremental patch not the full one is that the problem.

any help would be great thanx.

Try the full patch, I have heard of ppl having problems by using the incremental patch. Also, make sure the your connection setting in game matches your modem settings.

Ahhhhhhhhh i want to shoot the computer

Downloaded the full patch installs all okay.

Go to play and the same message CONNECTION HAS BEEN LOST. Finaly got onto a game about 12 ppl and played for a solid 5 min first time in 2 weeks. And i looked at my ping it was 45 up to 350 up to 900 back down to 45 and so on. i didnt have this problem with the old patch. Would it be the internet connection or what.

Plz need help, an comments or abuse for being a NOOB appreciated.

suggest full bf2 delete and reinstall + full 1.4

I'll move this to the BF2:Help forums.

As far as the problem is concerned:

- Are you on wireless or regular LAN/DSL/Cable ?
- do you use a firewall or proxy ? If yes, are you sure those are configured correctly ? These applications generally tend to look at patches for an already installed game as a completely new install, which usually means you'l have to re-configure your settings.
- browse through the Help subforum, and use the search to find other threads with similar topics. patch 1.4 is out a while now, and there is a good chance other people also have had that same problem. Maybe they can offer more help.

2.No i dont have fire wall or proxy

Hello Choc ,

I had this problem before and as I could see there was a reinitialisation of my settings .
Have a look on the connection settings in the game , maybe it switched to T1(RAC) instead of ADSL !
I worked for me.

Had such a problem long time ago with enemy territory.

Try to change bf2s priority in taskmanager. It was high or low tho, but not highest or realtime
