Winning on pubs is meaningless to me, I just kill as many people as possible so I can get better and actually win real matches.

Just thought of another cause of suckiness...
Make sure your gaming rig is in the peak of health.
A few weeks ago I found I was having real trouble getting into the pace of a round. It turned out that my mouse was partly to blame. It's a Razer Diamondback and I noticed that it felt a bit glitchy, not enough to make you say out loud "I say my mouse is bloody glitchy", but enough that it was difficult to smoothly palce the cross-hairs on someones head.
I uninstalled the Razer drivers and reverted to the Microsoft built in mouse drivers and the mouse became smooth as silk. Seems the Razer drivers were being starved of CPU time. I also did a bit of mouse tuning to get the sensitivity just right and my stats started improving straight away.
Also check your FPS, if you need more fps lower your Gfx settings to get your frame rate up.

it's all about the key-settings, dude. make sure all the most important controls are setted properly (i.e. you dont have 'prone' on the delete button...LOL), and then, of course, help yourself by pointing your game settings to performance rather than looks, just in case you need to sacrifice, of course.
I was just like you.. I slowly got better then I started getting worse. my keys were f***ed up and it just took me too long to do simple stuff, while I did know what I wanted to do, though.
my buddy, he's a long time player and has had his key-settings for like years now. he helped me sort out my own with a basic layout: W,S,A,D for movement, E for prone, F for getting in/out, L-Shift for sprint, spacebar for jump, L-CTRL for crouch. rest is not important cause you wont likely be pressed to use, say, the parachute.. oh, BTW, you might want to choose an easy key for pulling your pistol. major cause of death when your clip's out is that you are not reacting fast enough by pulling a backup weapon (typically, and most satisfying, the pistol).

First, I wanna say thanks for the help...and support more then anything. I have taken a mini 3 day vacation from BF2 and am hoping to comeback a little smoother.
I am a play to win person...while I may not have stated this in my orginial post by talking so much about points, but I was able to "win" and still get 40 points (which to many of you probably sucks, but i would gladly take).
I'm going to try and think why way through my rounds this weekend, and as stated by some, "not care about the points".
To tell the honest truth, I was recently shown this game and lucky enough to have about 4-6 other people i can play with on most nights. It was just getting sickening when I was the dumbsh*t left behind in points. That and heli whores....DAMN YOU!
