EU Service ribbon was 50hours in EU theatre, 1 second on each map. It was my original aim as the EU medal was originally 250hours as EU and I knew Id never get it!! Then about halfway through the ribbon, they changed the req's of the medal and removed the ribbon.XISIX wrote:
WOW.. .... cool. + 1
Wonder what some of requirements would have been. Cheers.
Courage/Service/Valour awards were originally for SF, and the equilivant of the combat, marksman and sharpshooter medals for the vanilla kits - only these new ones were going to be for the SF kit badges.
The text for them is still in the SF localisation files. Same with the NV combat and airborne specialist.
I thought it was 100 or 150 hours. Either way, the Euro Medal is difficult to get, which makes it all the funner. Plus it looks nice.
According to various sources the requirements supposedly were:
Airborne Specialist Ribbon:
IAR: 15 minutes in an airplane
IAR: 22 Kills in an airplane
EU Service Ribbon:
50h in the Euro theater
Night Vision Combat Badges:
Basic: IAR: Use nightvision for 15 minutes
Veteran: Global: Use nightvision for 16 hours
Expert: Global: Use nightvision for 100 hours
Courage Award, Service Award & Valor Award:
No idea about those three.
By the sound of the names, I suppose they were similar to some of the regular BF2 medals.
