you have to be a commander and every now and then you hear yourself laugh. I think its if you sit in one spot and dont move for a long time.

I've heard it twice since patching 1.4. Both times I was commanding in my commander screen spotting enemies. A friend of mine was sniping next to me and could hear me laugh too.
I was on warlord Tv station when I heard a guy laugh as he toss a grenade in, I went prone and killed him as he ran across my field of vision, It was the first time I've ever heard a laugh in the game it shit me up a bit.
Spot a dead enemy and you should hear the taunt
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Common_client.zip in sound folder are the laughs
So, spot a dead enemy? Will I hear the laugh? No fun if I can't hear myself laugh

Im on the vet program and I hear this laugh about once every day that I play it. Had it earlier on Ghost Town. Now I know (hopefully) how to do it
I heard the laugh tonight playing Jalalabad. I was actually dead at the time & we had lost all of our flags & I was waiting for a new spawnpoint. Must say I thought it was a bit eerie...PASSUBY wrote:

"The promotional taunt is used in Battlefield 2 but requires that Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 to be installed."
Simply use the Spot command on a dead enemy and the taunt can be heard.
The rules for how often it can be used are governed by the server’s radio spam settings in the same manner as all player messages. So if you do not hear it every time, this may be the reason why.
