And whats funny is after you die, they no longer want to gun anymore.....WTF...did you do that just to piss me off?

Look if your new to the game, learn how the weapons work...dont get into a vehicle in which you have no fucking idea how it works. Stop being so fucking stubborn and saying "I have a right to fly to"...you do, but not when you have no idea what your doing.

This isnt exactly a complaint, more so i'm just telling all the beginners to stay out of ****ing vehicles until you know what your doing.
U Sir are a complete turd its only a game i am a major and i suck in the chopper (big deal) but i have a go now and again for a bit of fun.

The pilot may have the right to tell you to get out, but he doesn't have the right to force to get out.  You payed for the game same as they did.  I've been playing with my friends a lot more and have become a better pilot than gunner.  Personally I would rather gun than fly.  But it's much more fun to me to have someone in the chopper with me.  I don't care if they can't gun.  I can help them learn to get better, because I learned by gunning for a friend who helped me get better.

And any bleeping leet pilot who thinks they can fly me to the edge and suicide me better think again.  I will make your day miserable.

You have a kinda good complaint argument (@ thread starter).

But, one point you make gets me- it's not logical:

"Stay out of vehicles until you know what you're doing".

How exactly is a 'noob' going to find out if he doesn't practise and give things a try?

most points above are valid - however do not forget there are still some good helo gunners who have just restarted and hence might have a lowbie rank . -

Agreed. It is a game that everyone has paid for, so everyone is (not should be, IS) entitled to use any weapon, asset or role they wish to, irrelevent of their respective stats.

I dont see on the rules of engagement that "Noob gunners shall get out of helicopters when the pilot deems them to be a noob and demands they get out". Pffft.

If i`m told to bail out, i bail. The guy who gets the chopper first should deside who he wants for gunner. What if he has a friend with teamspeak with him? Do you really want to gun for a pilot that hates you?

So if you don`t bail out when the pilot ask you,  YOU are the one who is retarded.

hard to avoid dieing if your gunner cant hit the broad side of a barn...especially if the enemy chopper crew is really good, in which they were. Both the guys were from moo crew, big chopper clan. And this retard of a dumb fuck kept shooting the mini gun.....

I killed alot of ground targets, but it was mainly the enemy chopper crew that got us. Sure I can barrel rool and evade tv's but sooner or later, they get us...

I cant be blamed if my gunner is a retard.
Dieing as actually quite hard...dying on the other hand...

Plus, I'm not sure how effective barrel rools would be...maybe you should try barrel rolls...

Also, it seems quite obvious that they got you sooner much rather than later.  Even up against a good chopper crew, you can disengage and go after something other than the chopper.  Staying out of the 450m range would help.

But no, no, you're right in placing all the blame on your gunner.
Oh the irony.

I just had to take out some of the hate here.

Someone else mentioned a very good point.

Rank does not equal skill. I believe the thread starter himself is a great example of this- a high rank but has kit ratios far worse than your average Corporal or Private First Class. For a self-proclaimed helicopter-pro, you don't have very striking stats.

It's only happened to me twice, the first time I didn't know wtf was going on cause I had never heard of getting hung out of bounds and the pilot never even requested I "Bail Out."  But about two weeks ago, someone hung me out for the second time.

On and AF map, these two guys had the chopper and died about three times in five minutes so I decide I want to go for a spin and see how well I do.  So when they go down again I go to the pad and wait.  They both respawn and the three of us wait for the chopper.  It spawns and one of them gets pilot seat, I get gunner.  "Bail out! Bail out! Bail out!"  So I bail, they say "thanks", I say "whatever, you guys are noobs and I'm going next time you go down."  They say "Okay."  They go down in about thirty seconds and the chopper comes back up.  Other guy as pilot I'm gunner again.  Again they want me to bail and I say "I bailed last time, this time I want a shot at it."  So the guy takes off and heads for red.  I type in, "I'm trying to be fair about this and take turns but if you want to be a noob and hang me out of bounds I will be a noob too and tk you till the end of the round."  Luckily I was a medic so I kept auto healing myself and the pilot couldn't keep it steady...so a lot got said before he finally just slammed into the hill.

Anyway, we both respawned...his friend was still waiting at the helipad...I tk'd both of them.  They respawned behind me and tk'd me...got the chopper and took off.  I respawned and got the little bird and went and shot them down.  I think I tk'd each of them about 5-6 times, got kicked for negative score twice and was able to rejoin both times.  Begining of next round I typed another message saying if they would just share the chopper that is NOT THEIR OWN PERSONAL CHOPPER then that round would not have been like that.  I also told them I was done tking, just wanted to prove a point.  I spawned, they each tk'd me about two or three times, got kicked and didn't come back.

I am not tk happy and hate doing it.  I will however tk if I see someone else tk for vehicles.  I tried to be reasonable and communicate with these asshats but instead they hang me out.  That round of tking was probably one of my funnest and most memorable rounds of BF2 because I know I totally ruined their game.  If you want to be a dick to me for no reason, I'm going to bring it back ten times worse.

Single Player. Read the entire thread before you reply.

If they suck, and won't bail, I will redzone them. There is no excuse for not knowing how to use the TV missile. If he didn't go into singleplayer first and figure it out, that's his loss. If they at least know how to use the TV missile, I'll fly with them.

I also redzone commanders, and pricks.

I also agree with the topicstarter!
I hate it when i line the gunner up for a nice chopperkill and he doesn't shoot the TV!
Most of the time they don't see the enemy i think. Just like in the plane, i just fly for my own.
And if he can gets some kills while i do my job then its good for him.

Some of the gunners do fire an TV, then i'll use teamspeak to help him a little how and when to use both weapons. If i'm really fed-up with a gunner, i'll just jump out and let him crash. hehehehehe

Why should the pilot have any say who is gunner?????  i will bail out it i see they have the same clan tags but to say some is a retard cos they dont bail is wrong

If i were in a tank/Jeep and i asked you to bail would you do it cos i might be on teamspeak lol

Nice kills in the chopper 30,000 + now why not get ur self hooked up to teamspeak and pass on some of ur knowledge to noob gunners like me.  You will probably enjoy the game alot more. Teamwork is amazing.

Whining. Whining about newbs. Whiners whining about whining about newbs.

That's this thread.

You know, people want to try gunning. It's fun, and it's good points. Not everyone is good at it. Lower your expectations, get in a squad and subtely hint at the power of the right click.

If they miss, come in with missles if it's a must hit shot right there, and avoid other helis. You can fuck up the ground pretty hard even if you do get shot down every once in a while.
