Is there anyway I can switch between patches, say 1.4 and 1.12 (or whatever)?

If not, how do you uninstall a patch but not actually uninstall the game?

Thanks.

You just need to patch... nothing else.. so hat means..  over 1.4 you patch 1.22

Dont think you could switch between patches,  I think your registry would prevent that from happening.

Not sure you could uninstall the patch, but you could do a system restore to the point before you installed the patch.

Hope that helped.

Make another copy of the BF2 folder. Patch that folder and have the real folder with 1.4

When the 1.4 beta was out I had that and 1.3 at the same time. And to this day I still have 1.4 beta. And I do not know why.

I think of it as: The earlier patches (1.3 and lower) are of lower value and the higher patches are of higher (1.4) value.  So you cant put lower over higher, am I making sense?

If you need to switch between the 2 you have to have 2 bf2 folders one patched with the 1.4 and one patched with the other.
when you want to switch you have to rename the one to were the game was installed

1 Install bf2 and sf unpatched.
2make a copy of the bf2 folder in program files. just let it call it copy of "install folder"
3Patch one with a patch.
4then rename it.
5 rename the copied folder to the original installed folder.
6 Patch that one with the other patch.

when you switch between them you have to rename the folders every time.

This is true, that is how EA said to do it for the beta testers for 1.4.  If you create to icons on your desktop to the exe file in each folder, all you have to do is click what ever patch you want to play.

There was not a patch 1.31.  Patch 1.3 had the server crashes.
