I've been playing BF2 with 1.4 since 2 days ago, and I must honestly say it rocks, because it solved all major problems BF2 had with 1.3, so let's see what you think. Please if you don't mind explain why you think it sucks. The other options I think there's no need to explain, but reading so much threads about how this new patch sucks I think it'd be interesting knowing your viewpoints about 1.4 problems.

i like it, the new map rocks. i mean, i used to prone spam and dolphin dive like no ones business, but now, instead of flopping around... wait... nvm, ill just go fly a helo.

I cursed it the first time I played, within minutes I had a "connection lost" message.... my ISP had issues

Since then it's been fine, it seems to have fixed the few problems I considered an issue and it's added a new map without me having to shell out for an expansion pack. So far so good but I'm not going to kiss EA's ass as a result of it, at the end of the day they had things fairly well sorted earlier on, this patch mainly fixed bugs introduced by other patches.

You are completely right dude, but we are talking about this patch, not EA. Let's focuss in the patch. Ea can kiss my ass as well. They took so long to fix these bugs, but I think this patch did.

I'm sure the server crashes (or mass disconnects as they may well be) are more than likely ISP issues too... (edit: because some servers seem to never crash)

edit: I'm sure other people must get those random occurances even visiting this website where 'connection timed out' occurs but a few seconds later fixes... it's a bloody wonder the internet works at all...

They messed up the prone and the goddamn red tag bug still exists.

not seen or heard ANYTHING about new glitches, and ea said they TRIED to fix the red tag bug NOT THAT THEY DID FIX THE BUG!

I'm still undecided. The server browser is still broken, I still get connection errors, the new map isn't that great but hey, it's a new map so I guess that's something. The gameplay tweaks well... I've never been a dolphin diver or bunnyhopper but sometimes the strange delays are irritating. For example; for some reason when you jump off a ledge, it takes about 3 after landing before you can shoot again. This means that when you jump off a low roof or something behind someone, you can't actually shoot him. He'll usually laugh at you while you just stand there ramming your mouse button and then he'll shoot you in the face.

So... I say patch 1.4 is 'meh'.

So, for these two little details, I have to say I didn't see any, your balance is it sucks, never mind they fixed the CTD's and crashed servers issues. And you got Infantry Only (optional) and new map.

well, the maps OK, not quite sure what they have fixed as i pay little attention to patches, the only thing i nooticed is not being able to drop vehicles on buildings which doesnt matter. I rekon 1.4 is OK but not to diffrent.

I think it rocks, I haven't noticed any new or old bugs. Game seems very stable. and jababadodad is a sweet map.

Lol. Thx. Did any server crashed with 1.4 while you were playing? I didn't see any CTD's or crashed server.

Fine! Game should be perfect after more then a year from its release... it is not, that's why it doesn't rock, but it's fine because it is quite stable and playable.

You sure have played CS, well I play it since 1999 that's 7 years. You know what, there're more hackers and cheaters in CS than in BF2 bugs or hacks. All games have issues, worse when they're online.
